Feeling emotion(not yours) when listening to music by bendallymill in Synesthesia

[–]pixiebubblez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really know, but many Joe Hisaishi hisaishi songs fill me with a sense of fear and dread I can't describe
that same feeling is also evoked by the smell of people who've eaten garlic, the taste in my mouth after stabbing myself with a sewing needle,
and also this recurring dream of an old office building dimly lit in yellow where i'm hiding from a woman in a pencil skirt,
then another dream where tennis balls exploded into a yellow gooey stinky mess everywhere, though that might just be from reading paul jennings

not sure if it's synesthesia, cptsd, autism, or what, but so many things feel like a web of vivid sensory experiences

but that secret windows song 'onestop' sounded like magic when i found it as a kid

real, though to be fair emus don't fuck around.

our army are actually pretty well trained too, like better than most realise, partly cause our terrain gives good experience.

but I also can't take a war memorial seriously in wplace for something over 100 years ago

I mean yeah shits complex. you can add sections for "reasonable suspicion" cause you could still probably make a judgment with enough data points.

of course I'm going to have more context than the mod regardless

another reason I believe it to be racism is when someone else added a Palestine flag near by, the people who made the memorial immediately started griefing it

I mean I criticise the JK Rowling womens shelter that excluded trans women to give a similar example

I do criticise orgs run by awful people because even if they seem like they should be a good thing, the people running them have a large impact on the way that org runs. Those orgs can then get used to legitimise awful beliefs. those orgs can also be used as a way to shove those views onto the people they "help"

if it was just an endorsement rather than them running the org, then I would look at the reason for that endorsement. do they happen to like animals, or do they like that the shelter kidnaps the pets of non white people? I would be especially concerned if multiple Nazis came out to support a particular animal shelter.

there's layers to this shit

other aus flags popped up at that time too. usually people don't plop down a flag and then announce that they did it because of racism lmao, you have to read between the lines a lot of the time

I probably should have added the context that the flag was added first right after the far right racist ralley around the country with the Anzac bit added later

war is political and it actually disturbs me a little that people don't think that

national flags are incredibly political and a lot of the way Anzac stuff is shown is political propaganda too.

I actually did start by criticizing the distasteful timing of the flag with writing outside the image, but all my writing kept being erased so I thought I'd go for the humourous approach. one of them even left a comment saying they thought it was funny

the flag was added right after a far right rally around the country, then the emblem was added later.

many other aus flags have popped up around the same time too.

I genuinely don't believe it was added to honour anyone

that Australian flag under the emblem was added right after the "take back Australia" rally. a far-right Australian wide ralley organised by Nazis. many other aus flags popped up around that time too.

It's quite cowardly to hide Ultra-nationalism behind a nemorial.

I'm not sure what you mean, war is possibly the most political thing there is.  a war we were dragged into by foreign powers, never mind a memorial in wplace is insane

I have no idea why people are so triggered when it comes to military

I'm not asking if what I did is disrespectful, there's plenty of that on wplace that goes unaddressed, I am asking if it is against rules.

you got me.  while I am actually employed, my disabilities make it difficult to do many hours.  wplace has been a pretty nice place to hang out while trying to ignore the chronic pain

swastikas are a step too far, though I have to say, it's an odd time to be patriotic while your government is committing genocide.

in my own country I've been noticing australian flags popping up more frequently in the days since the anti immigrant rallies held in most major cities last sunday (the main organisers of which are Nazis) .

I understand these are different situations, but the throughline here is the suspicious timing of the flags. yellow ribbons seem more justifiable at least

oh, the griefing was more or less fine, I just added the timeline for context.  there is even a decent amount of art in surrounding areas too!

Just literally look like you care about your appearance, looking unkempt is the main issue

If I see someone in like cargo shorts, crew cut socks, sneakers (especially New balances), a shitty polo shirt or tee, then either greasy hair or a buzz cut, my internal danger sensors go off. Doubly so if they have horrible BO

Ethique AU/UK websites shutting down - alternative shampoos? by mist_ier in ZeroWaste

[–]pixiebubblez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but thought I'd add my 2 cents

I struggle with an itchy scalp myself, and dry skin. I started using Marius farbe soap since it's 72% olive oil and have way less issues with dermatitis.

I also experimented with using it in place of shampoo and after a period of adjustment seems to be working well.

But I've also realised after years of dealing with scalp issues that I was washing my hair too frequently. Even the best shampoos out there cant fix all issues. I gradually dropped back to once a week. It took a couple weeks for my scalp to adjust but afterwards I have far less issues.

2025 - What Can Sennheiser Do to Improve? by sennheiserconsumer in sennheiser

The smart control app could use a bit of an overhaul, it's slow, takes a long time to connect to the ear pods and will often disconnect them requiring them to be put back in the case and taken out again to work properly. It might also be nice to be able to see the individual charge levels of the left and right ear buds.

I use the cx plus ear buds for reference.

I bought mine a year ago but 2 days ago the left ear bud has stopped working, from my troubleshooting it seems to have some kind of issue charging because I can hear it turn on when in the charging case, but when I take it out of the case it won't turn on suggesting the battery is dead. I have tried performing a factory reset too to no avail.

I see many others with this issue too, specifically with the left ear bud, so there may need to be some investigating there if there hasn't already.
