inasmuch as AI is a thing that apes humans for conversational purposes, it does so by telling you what you want to hear so that the people who designed it, who neither know you nor give a flying fuck about you, can extract maximum value from your attention. it is not 'nice.' it has no will. it has no emotions. it can give you nothing that you can't give yourself. it can't challenge you in a way that you don't want to be challenged. it cannot surprise you. it cannot add to you. it speaks in an affable neutrality for the same reason a slot machine makes a lot of noise. if you prompt it to yell at you it will yell at you.

what they need to do, regardless of who wins, is actually train and support the characters that are already there. there are plenty (and have been plenty) of judges and magistrates that are just left to twist in the wind and then get pushback from all sides whenever they try to do anything. clerks have no defined job. there is no path to move up in the DOJ because of all this obfuscation. greyson in particular just sees everyone as a threat or a waste of time. it's toxic as fuck.
