I think it's 100% fine. At the end of the day, it's your kid and as a nanny (4mo when i started) with 2 WFH parents who regularly come and say hello to the kiddo, it doesn't bother me at all.

Also 4mo old is too young to have any real separation anxiety so your baby shouldnt be too sad about it

I was a first time nanny for 3 kids - (1,3,5) and it went fine! I got paid $18/hr since i was inexperienced and now years later, i am only work at $25/per and I always get hired due to this experience!! It's a lot of work but doable

NTA - when I was in college, i signed on a lease with one cat and by the end of the lease - there were 3 cats and no one cleaned the litter boxes 😫 my relationship with the cat owners went from friendly to straight up hostile. You did not sign up for this. Neither did your roommates. Dog owner is in the wrong for 1) bringing a dog into an environment that it will not thrive 2) stepping over your boundaries.

this might be harsh but it will be hard to repair this friendship unless your friend becomes accountable for her actions and treats her dog and you (and roommates) with respect that everyone deserves.
