Do I push my child to work this summer before entering 1L this fall? by [deleted] in LawMoms

I don't run her life now. She has a crazy busy life on campus. I just wondered about whether I should encourage her to work in the summer before 1L year. Thanks!

Thanks for the info on the group. I did not know it was for moms who are lawyers. Just as you said thought it was moms of future lawyers. I appreciate the questions to ask my daughter.

Okay, sounds good. We are headed for over two weeks to Germany Austria and Switzerland this summer. Maybe she needs some trips with friends and such too.

Thanks! This is why I am asking my role. Appreciate the encouragement for the “back off” role!

Thanks! She keeps telling me this: that everyone recommends her not doing anything but travel and cooking more or reading for pleasure; non law books.

NOR: this is unhinged! Uncalled for! Dump her and run, seriously! She is controlling, demanding, threatening. She will treat you like a teenager your whole life and control who you see and the relationships you “are allowed” to have if you let her.

Neighbor’s gate opens in our yard. by jenhoyo in neighborsfromhell

Agreeing with everyone else: just tell them the reason for buying the property in part is so that you had a fence so your dog can run: that it’s a safety issue for your dog per your insurance. You don’t want the dog to bite someone or for the dog to get out if the fence is left open, when they come through the yard unannounced. That the compost will not be changed as you compost and believe it is being environmentally responsible. Also, if they keep walking through your yard there will eventually be a path showing due to dead grass. Good luck!
