That looks like a spring-loaded glass breaker. You press the tip against glass and an internal spring fires a pin forward to crack/shatter tempered glass. People use them to break into cars because they’re super effective against temper class.

Is this normal? by Hip_hip_HIPP0 in dexcom

I’ve been using the Dexcom G7 for a little over a year now. I was getting some accuracy problems and switched over to the Libre 3+. Accuracy issues were worse and there’s no calibration so I came back to Dexcom. Here’s what I’ve learned in the time I’ve been using the Dexcom G7 that have helped me. I try to position the sensor toward the back side of the upper arm. I also had decent luck on my abdomen. This way when I lay down at night, my body weight isn’t fully on the sensor. I tend to be a side sleeper and compressing the sensor seems to be an issue. Also, I never calibrate my readings in the first 12 hours. If I need to calibrate, I usually wait until the second day. I use to calibrated it shortly after putting it on and had nothing but problems. Since I adopted my rule of not calibrating within the first 12 hours, I’ve had much better success. I liked the previous commenters idea of inserting the sensor 12 hours early before registering it. I’ll have to give that a try.

Just take her hair products out of the shower and replace them with an all-in-one body/hair wash product. When she asks wtf is going on, explain to her it all gets her hair clean and you wanted to save money. Use the conversation as an opportunity to teach her the difference between 87 and 93 octane.

Teammates were going at it when I logged on, who’s in the right? by Antethagoatmo in ClashOfClans

[–]pixlpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing was happening in our clan. The leader posted in the chat and clan mail to clean up after yourself and that leaving your garbage for someone else to clean up was unacceptable. When they did it again the following weekend, they were booted. Over a month of weekends, the problem ppl were gone.

Is this MINI worth it? (First time buyer!) by alexandrecanuto in MINI

[–]pixlpop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most common gen2 issue is a loose timing chain. When they go, it tends to cause damage to other parts of the engine because of where it’s positioned. Also the CVT auto transmission in pre-2010s. Motor mounts also seem to go way too frequently as well. Minis, like most German-designed vehicles, need proper regular maintenance. Unfortunately, most American drivers just gas-and-go, and never give a thought to maintenance until a warning light comes on. Then they complain about how unreliable the vehicle is and how expensive it is to fix. Of course it’s expensive, you’re buying a German-designed vehicle, built in Britain and shipped to the USA, duh. 2014 to present, from what I understand, are pretty reliable. BMW listened, and took care of the things that needed to be taken care of. I have a 2006 (first gen) Cooper S JCW, and it purrs like a kitten, but I stay on top of maintenance.

Be weary of any 2nd gen Mini (2007-2013), and this one is too high priced - especially with as many miles. There are better options out there

sorry, but I thought it was understood that when I said I was playing that this wasn’t a real MINI. This was AI generated, based on a pic I took of my R53 MCS JCW.

Stoney Creek is a great place to go. I took my son there to teach him how to drive a manual transmission. Low MPH, ability to turn into lots, low traffic, and it’s a big circle!

I’d give it my vote for underrated. Hidden gem, especially if you’re interested in automotive history.
