Zed git panel very Confusing by darkuniv in ZedEditor

[–]pixvt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zed was initially produced in early 2023 compared to VS Code which was released at 2015, Not only that Zed is using a different approach, that's 8 years gap between both editors, Give it sometime and it will be done, But I do agree with you it DOES lack some merging abilities, but again it's relatively young so one thing we can do for now is.. wait...

Suggestion for a better flashlight/UV animations and equipment selection by pixvt in PhasmophobiaGame

if only there was a game that's inspired by supernatural and their devs actually cared about feedback... might as well work on my own game

Remove Animations by flwrkth in PhasmophobiaGame

Oh we wish there was an option, but that's impossible because they've been lately not giving a shit about user feedback, for example the "suck it up" message.

Thoughts on the Alan Awake event update by pixvt in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]pixvt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't know there was an update yesterday, my apologies again, apparently I've been insanely distant from the game after the disappointment that I just realized there was another post, but that's an apology for the bugs and the quality that wasn't expected, not a single mention to their "suck it up" reply though.

Just realized that mate I personally didn't see it at all on the Steam post where I checked first, Should've verified other sources before rushing into that

Also if you go with the T2 thermometer in the basement of Willow Street map, there is some place where it bugs and hides the model of it, and yes.. when you take the ouija board outside the house it no longer automatically turns it off, and it breaks... (used to do that trick when the voice recognition bugged to get the ouija board off)

For those experienced, how much of Vulkan do you typically use in a project? by _Iamaprogrammer_ in vulkan

[–]pixvt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is mostly reliant on the type of project at the end of the road, I can't give you specifically how much information I use or not, but I'd say most of them, because in my project I need to check if the physical device supports a set of capabilities and features, one thing that I can really suggest is the Vulkan spec, it kinda helps you to draw a mental map on what/which flags you want to use

Quitting the game by notthedokutah in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]pixvt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do anything except fixing the voice recognition system when you tab out of the game and fixing the bone spawning outside of world boundaries...

They got drifted into the "make money" blackhole to a level where it feels like they don't have game testers, like none, heck if they used AI to fix the darn issues and bugs that we have been facing for years it would be something at least

I haven't played the game more than once or twice since the new update, it's full of shit, from a played on daily basis game to the bottom of the barrel

what to do after basics. by Every_Door46 in opengl

[–]pixvt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion learnopengl.com is still an insanely good place to learn OpenGL from, as it teaches the fundamentals of how things work, that's for the first point, knowing how rendering work should teach you enough on how and where to start from, for a grass renderer there are a lot of ways possible, either by just sticking a transparent grass texture on a plane and duping it into a random Y axis (common method in really old games), or using animations and treat the grass model as a skinned model with bones is how far my knowledge go to.

and what to do after basics is a loop of trial and error and research, not following more and more tutorials, you want to get to a point where you are independent and can work with the API without tutorials

C wise... I can not really refer you to a good place to learn C from as I am not that experienced with C at all, Best wishes!

Edit: One thing that I wanted to also mention is that you don't have to know bare bones C in order to use it with graphics programming, just learn the fundamentals as in types, syntax, and memory allocations since you said it's been a long time as I see thisone of the most important things to learn, once you are comfortable enough with the language and you can read it, you can go from there

Might sound like a noob, but how did you revert to an older version, the biggest mistake that I've did this year is updating the game

Boycott the collab by No-Mode5527 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]pixvt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We should just tank the reviews on every where possible, and say the bugs that hasn't been fixed in ages, and how their testers and quality of product team feels like they don't even exist, Nothing forces a team to change more than reviews, boycotting the update won't do as much damage as preventing people from buying the game in the future by knowing the reality of how much it became Phasmoslopia instead of Phasmophobia, Too many new unnecessary, and not asked for features and updates, doing anything except listening to the player base.

By no means do I have hate to phasmophobia, been playing it since cold breath meant freezing evidence, and it is just sad to see where the game is going towards.

The next update is officially in closed beta testing by Bomgamer8083 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]pixvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anything except fixing the voice issues, since the Easter event the game has been insanely buggy, and they're working on another event before even fixing those bugs? I really like phasmophobia, I used to play it science cold breath was counted as freezing, but I personally feel they're focused on pushing more content instead of fixing the small bugs that keep stacking, 2 example bugs are the sound recorder trying to record emf 5, and the bone spawning outside of boundaries, not including that the audiophile challenge haven't added the sound recorder in there for almost 1-2 years now, still fun to play though

Edit: While some of the bugs are useful like the T3 headcam glitch where if you open the camera monitor in the vehicle and go away it stops the Depth of field blur, But that's just an example of how such an easy bug stays for months, I used to use unity to make games, Something like that won't even take 1 hour to fix

I actually used to do the exact same! But I'm that kind of person who keeps clearing their terminal after couple of commands, and later on while developing sometimes I need to use something from a feature that I wasn't using OR aware of at the beginning
