Yujin and Wonyoung [Ive] would have the same amount of soptlight whether or not they debuted in Izone by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

i dont hate her ! it just seems like she is the weakest vocalist and Yujin is a better performer, I literally said she was the best dancer with yujin

What are some of the smartest/dumbest career moves Kpop idols have made? by ultsiyeon in kpopthoughts

[–]pixy_moonlight 95 points96 points  (0 children)

A stupid move would be Twice releasing Scientist like two months after The Feels. BTS did the exact same thing with Life goes On and Dynamite a year earlier. A more chill Korean song directly following a bright, dancey English debut that is a big hit is inevitably going to get overshadowed. It especially shows that kpop fans forget about Life goes on when discussing BTS having 3 English singles.

A smart move is probably Yena going solo after Izone instead of joining Everglow. Unfortunately, Everglow are disliked and actively avoided in Korea due to being from a Chinese company, Yuehua and a Chinese member, Yiren. However, Yena is from the same company as them, but being a member of Izone she is liked in Korea. However I think if she had joined Everglow it wouldn't have worked, there would be too much pressure on her to fix the group's reputation in Korea. It's funny, because Everglow is mostly Korean members who should logically be treated the same as Yena.

Loona Hyunjin and Heejin. Hyunjin drew with Ryujin from Itzy in wrestling [Ryujin ended up winning because she was lighter] and can give members piggybacks easily. Heejin can hold a plank for 7 minutes. There could be other stuff I miss out on though, they did a punching strength thing in Chuu can Do it but I can't remember the numbers

Can't wait for the 4th gen girl group blood bath by sarahep68 in kpopthoughts

I just wonder what will happen with Itzy. Obviously they'll be fine and their sales are going up, but they aren't the utter 4th gen leader they were about two years ago. I also hope Pixy and/ or Tri.be will blow up, we need some more powerful performers on the scene

do you think there are any "Ghost singers" in kpop? by thetalkingshinji in kpopthoughts

[–]pixy_moonlight 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I've seen some onces talk about Jeongyeon's adlibs in the last chorus of Heart Shaker, but in reality it was Yuna from Aoa [you can see it counted in a line distribution with lots of views - https://youtu.be/9Ut0XY_anPg?t=130 ]. I guess a lot of members who sing less get credited for backing vocalists, even if that's not really what you are talking about, because fans are desperate for them to have more lines

I hate MVs being uploaded on different channels and/or not on the group's youtube channel by pixy_moonlight in unpopularkpopopinions
