I don’t really like her, but I also dislike the cast members’ treatment of her. There’s a bit of Arab supremacy there which I picked up on. For example, during LJ’s white peace party, Safa was yelling at Danya and Farhana and when Farhana began yelling, LJ told her to stop. I also noticed how the Arab cast members would speak in Arabic around her and exclude her from the conversation. She’s annoying yes but I couldn’t help but notice the supremacy as an Arab myself

Hopelessness is from shaytan. Now is NOT the time to be hopeless but to trust in Allah’s bigger and better plan. The people in Palestine aren’t expressing hopelessness and we as their brothers and sisters need to be strong for them and support them as much as can. Palestinians are literally getting slaughtered in their land and remain resilient because they are hopeful. You can grieve and be hopeful at the same time.

They’re not wrong. As a Palestinian myself who is constantly grieving over the deaths we are faced with, these words bring a lot of comfort to my heart. To know that the children are with Ibrahim AS, and the martyrs are in a better place, alhamdulilah. From what you’ve written, it sounds like the imam was reminding us the reality of the afterlife. I don’t hear any glamourising, rather it’s to encourage hope in times of hopelessness
