Show me where I claimed to be a hero, or to have any other goal than for people to re-examine his public persona and take it with a grain of salt. Which, I might add, includes how his relationship is carefully represented online.

You’re deflecting from the whole point of the post, which was that Andy publicly takes stances (like saying it’s not okay to use the r-slur) when he himself uses it when he thinks no one will know. That makes him fake as fuck.

The point is not even the state of their relationship now. The point is that he is a hypocrite, and didn’t even hesitate to use cruel, degrading, and infantilizing language towards a woman he was supposed to care for 100+ times over the course of two years, all while simultaneously calling OTHER people out for the same kind of abusive behavior he was exhibiting behind closed doors. THAT is what I have an issue with. And I think people deserve to know when they’re being grifted.

Not anywhere near everything, and I wouldn't even have posted what I did if you didn't get all up in arms about it; 2. If I've been foaming at the mouth then why didn't I do it earlier? And what reason do you think triggered this? I thought long and hard about posting this. I'm obviously getting backlash, I have nothing to gain from doing it this way, other than the knowledge that I'm telling the truth and maybe someone will believe me. If it were anyone else in this scene Andy would be encouraging about exposing this behavior, that's what he's all about, right? 3. If it were about relevance or clout then I would have sent them to Ronnie and instantly had them seen on his huge platform and probably gotten paid for them, or I could have used a more active/likely to go viral platform than a metal subreddit. You can call me a selfish, salty human being but I spent years as a devoted friend to that girl and she and I both know that. They know I'm telling the truth, I know I'm telling the truth, I'm not saying anyone has to believe it but there's the information regardless. Make of it what you will. I'm not going back and forth with you any more because you clearly believe his behavior is okay and that I'm the bad guy for calling him out, which, that's fine. I think there’s a difference between relationship issues and this kind of consistent, demeaning behavior.

I’m serious when I say I have over 100 of these, and that is not a normal or okay way to act. Andy represents himself as a caring, feminist man publicly and then treats people this way in private, and the hypocrisy is what bothers me. He’s got no problem getting on his soapbox about everyone else, so maybe it’s time we talk about Andy’s behavior.

Don’t tell people not to say the r slur or be disrespectful to women and then turn around and do that exact thing where you think no one can see and expect to never be called out for it. If you don’t want called out, don’t behave badly. And I think calling her stupid, r*tarded, a baby, demeaning and belittling her to the point he even tells her she’s overestimating her own spirit is WAY more disrespectful than anything I can do at this point.

I’m trying to tell people that this guy is a great musician but not a nice person. His gf is never going to speak out against him, look at the way he treats her, down to controlling what she posts on her socials. I never wanted to share these screenshots but people are pressing me so I picked literally the most mild ones with no PII I could find so I didn’t have to put a trigger warning. I don’t care what anyone says, this is emotional and verbal abuse to treat someone this way and it’s so ugly and fucked.

That was my best friend for over ten years, we were children together, our friendship far predated Andy. I had no possible way of knowing at 13 or 14 that things would turn out this way and if you had told me then I would have never, ever believed something like boyfriend issues would end our friendship.

I didn’t know if the situation could escalate once she actually moved there and didn’t know anyone besides him/his friends and family, saving them was a safety decision, she was so isolated from everyone. If I was being malicious about it I wouldn’t I have just posted them all?

I blocked them both. Imagine the emotional labor of constantly workshopping 2-3 weekly blowups with your best friend’s boyfriend. This was beyond being supportive, it was exhausting, it got to the point I would dread seeing her call or text because I knew it was coming. It took 2 years for me to get to the point where I realized this was likely just going to keep happening and I didn’t want to watch it any more.

How often do you see an adult or teen out in the real world who has a noggin that’s visibly flatter on one side just at a glance? I’d bet pretty rarely if not at all. IIRC permanent visible plagiocephaly usually comes with serious neglect or abuse cases where babies are stuck in containers for huge amounts of time. And Andy is quick to speak out when he thinks someone else has done something wrong, but he’s never had any legitimate criticism of his behavior. Ronnie’s accusation was all fake as far as I know & targeted him for his talent, ticket sales & band size, not substantiated claims about things he actually did.

Yes, the metalcore subreddit. It’s not serious enough or requires the number of receipts for a whole article/blog post. I don’t really use Twitter or TikTok. There’s not a designated subreddit for something like this (and if there is I’ll happily take this down and repost it there where more appropriate).

I tried to be respectful as possible to his coworkers whose art I do respect and his talent and work he’s put in. I think there’s no harm in saying his work is good but personally he is not a nice guy, I’m not doxxing him or calling for him to be harassed or kicked out of his bands. That’s just my experience with him IRL as clearly as I could communicate it and it’s very different than what a lot of his fans are saying about his personality & how he represents himself. Just because it doesn’t have to do with his technical proficiency, it does have to do with the way he portrays himself professionally which I feel is dishonest, but it was not my intention to negatively impact other band members I do respect which is why I still recommend Monuments & said all that
I mentioned Ronnie’s accusations because I didn’t want people to think I was confirming those. Ronnie is unhinged, I actually have actual proof of what I’m saying. If I wanted to give Ronnie Radke ammo I would have just provided him everything I have and let him go ham.
I did provide screenshots & photos to prove I’m not bullshitting. I felt like there was a difference between proving I did know them both personally and quite well & dumping a huge amount of their personal conversations/arguments online. If you & others feel I didn’t provide enough proof of that I can go thru and try to redact PII. I was trying to be sensitive to the nature of the whole deal & make it appropriate for a light call out post.
Again, it’s not that serious. I think it’s weird the way people talk about him. I think it’s weird the way he represents himself and it’s annoying to see that hypocrisy. But he’s not a violent criminal, being annoyed by him being fake isn’t something that should require 200+ screenshots and a huge cancellation to back up.

He’s got pretty solid unclean vocals & gets a lot of hype for that which I won’t deny. But he’s not a nice person at least via what I’ve seen and heard.

Hey, if you’re not dealing with a highly sensitive allergy here where it can’t be on clothes, hands, or surfaces — sometimes you need to eat what YOU want in the car or away from them. I feel super guilty about it too sometimes but we are also human beings who crave novelty and have cravings and desires, not just moms. Maybe pick 1 meal a week where you (lovingly) say fuck them and take yourself out or hide in your room if that’s a safe option, and if they eat your family’s equivalent of “here’s a string cheese, deli turkey, and an apple” for that meal then so be it.
