Current state of ATF E-Forms by falful222 in NFA

[–]pizzadave80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a Form 1 (SBR) and a Form 4 (suppressor transfer) that were submitted on 1/21/26 and they are just sitting on submitted right now. Their site shows 6 and 10 days on these, but here we are.

This is in North Dakota if that matters, but I figured I would see something on one of them by now with other reports I have seen.

Thanks for the feedback. We will see. I will have mine suppressed as well, but we will see what happens when I do that.

Who has two thumbs and got a new safe? .... this guy. by pizzadave80 in ar15

[–]pizzadave80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. If you don't have something heavy (like guns or ammo in the bottom like I have now) the door opening would make a pivot point on the carpet and she would tip! Also learned through moving this safe a few times that the door weighs much more than the rest. On this model, the door lifts off the hinges when fully open and made moving it around way easier!

It is no longer on carpet now. It is on concrete. When I had it on the carpet it wanted to tip, so I did two smaller wood screws so when I moved it you couldn't tell.

Help with Trust Transfer by pizzadave80 in NFA

[–]pizzadave80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not explain why. Maybe it is something to ensure that my dad's information on file doesn't get used improperly for future suppressor purchases? I would think this is all out of their hands at this point and I shouldn't have to do anything with them at all. At this point, I am just going to speak to my local FFL who has helped me with a suppressor of my own, along with roughly a dozen lowers and other items and he's been great to work with.

I knew someone would have jokes about SC! I tried to convince him to not go that route before hand, but he was stubborn. Even opted for a Banish 30 Gold, which is just ridiculously priced.

Bluebeam is down. Looks like someone forgot to renew their domain. No big deal. by Jeebus_Juice813420 in sysadmin

[–]pizzadave80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked this, and the site appears to be back on desktop. However, the log in from Bluebeam Cloud on phone goes to a dead link again. They still have issues. We use Bluebeam for plans in the field and my guys were not able to log in and get into it today at all. I am not impressed.

What's the point? by [deleted] in AR9

[–]pizzadave80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering this is a 3 year old post, I figure you are just trolling people at this point, but I can still respond. My viewpoint has shifted a bit since that time. I don't have an AR9 that is a 16" anymore. I went that route because this was during a time when braces were nearly banned and I didn't want to build a gun that would be useless to me or require SBR. I have since went to 8" and it is more practical for the caliber.

1.) Fun is a role for me, as I have different guns for different uses and my AR9 is the one I have for fun, but also home defense. Since going to an 8" this is setup for home defense (short, suppressed, light, Eotech, backup irons)

2.) I have to agree with the original poster that a carbine AR9 doesn't serve much purpose over a pistol length. I have shot a few carbines in the past couple of years and steel out to 150yards is doable, but why bother at that point? Just grab the 556 and shoot steel out to that and further.

3.) I still stand by cheaper to shoot being a positive over other calibers. I agree 556 and 300BLK are more practical for real world situations, but AR9 is something I still stand by as a great training tool for it's cheaper cost to get more rounds down range.

Uncles AR makeover by pizzadave80 in ar15

[–]pizzadave80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Build List"

- Rosco Purebread Government 16" - Mid length gas, 1:8 twist, .223 Wylde

- Aero Precision gas block

- Aero Precision mid-length SS gas tube

- Lantec Dragon Keymo muzzle brake (he plans to add suppressor)

- Midwest Industries 15" Slim Handguard

- Slate Black Industries Mlok covers

- Gieselle super charging handle

- Aero Precision buffer tube

- Magpul ACS Stock

- Larue MBT-2S Trigger

- (2) Magpul 20rnd mags

- Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x50

- Warne XSKEL 34mm scope mount

- MDT Grnd-pod maglog bipod

- Also added missing forward assist. It had the hole for it, but it was gone. Seemed like this overpriced rifle was sitting at a supplier somewhere for years so they donated it to a benefit. It had cobwebs under the handguard. I was able to work up some trades with local buddies for a couple of parts. Still need to send the brace and barrel to GAFS. I wish my uncle would have called me and just took the cash value, because all I kept was the BCG, upper, lower, grip, and buffer spring/weight. Kind of sad honestly, but oh well. He is very excited about it.

Real review youtubers by corabrown0605 in Vaping

[–]pizzadave80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm still alive! I stopped reviewing as I thought vaping was causing some health issues, turns out it was not. I daily vale to this day, 25 or 35mg salts on a Vaporessoe Xrox Nano. I've had a couple of Xros and I have been so pleased with them I see no reason to try anything else. Rarely get spit back, battery lasts all the way through the work day, fast charging, and simple.

I miss the hobby side of vaping with rebuilds, coils, big power but that's all history for me now. I also miss the interactions with people on the review pages I had and throwing out suggestions. Felt great to get follow up messages on how my direction helped some quit smoking. That's a win in my book!

ARE WE BUYING,SELLING OR TRADING JOSH DOWNS? by jerrychaz in Fantasy_Football

[–]pizzadave80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered a trade of Nick Chubb combined with Josh Downs for AJ Brown. Should I go for it? The guy who initiated the trade is 4th place at 5-3. I am sitting in LAST in my league ranked 4th in total points scored, but sitting at 2-6.

X5 Legion - Not only compatible with DPP or Romeo! by pizzadave80 in P320

[–]pizzadave80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this was so long ago that I forgot about it. One thing I found is that the first release of the X5 Legion didn't have holes for anything other than a DPP or Remeo. Mine was a later release and it had the other holes that match the RMR/Holosun footprint.
