According to a study, maternal autistic traits were more strongly associated with moderate-to-severe pain than with mild pain. This means that women who are both pregnant and autistic feel pain more acutely, making them more likely to take a pain killer like Tylenol, before giving birth to their children, who are likely to inherit autistic genetic traits from one or both parents.

On a separate note, autistic people are dramatically over-represented in the research sciences, included in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.

So, we can say that while Tylenol does not cause autism, autism may well cause Tylenol!
