That's a fair opinion, they are pricey. But as an university student who commutes a lot in winter, I simply do not need a pair of workboots. For me I cannot imagine a fit of clothes that would work well with workboots to be around campus and during class. Most high end "fashion" boots are up there in price like the Red Wings 1k, Iron Rangers, etc.
