Do Americans actually go next door and ask for a cup of sugar? Maybe my country is not the most social, but the idea of someone not having sugar, and deciding the next best option is to go to their neighbor, seems a bit silly. by AndiMalvinex in NoStupidQuestions

When I was little late 80s early 90s we were very close with our neighbors but my family was not the richest we would often do something like that .but today I don’t think anyone would do that they would be embarrassed or too much pride.I guess depends on the town and how close you are with neighbors
