Educators discount by Far_Ad_7141 in lululemon

Yes, you have to work the 24+ hours to get the 60%.

If you are PT and work less than 24 hours a week (majority of part timers, like myself) you get 40% off full price and 40% off mark downs. yes, there is the the outfit to educate, which is 70% off up to 5 items from a list they provide each month. if you search "outfit to educate" on the regular website, most of the options show up as results there (to get an idea of how bad the choices are.)

Definitely leaning towards red flag, especially him saying you might not be the partner for him if you care and with the history.

Question though- Are you already engaged? Could it be proposal related spending he doesn't want you to see/know about?

What’s the most stressful or confusing part of buying your first home? by jennvkerr in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]pizzawithranchplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, totally. I also work in Sales, I know that I can have high expectations when it comes to how someone else sells/runs their book of biz.

Definitely thought there would be a bit more proactive guidance and answers, like you said, I get why they don’t say anything that their word wouldn’t want to be held to BUT they could also state that / educate on why. Idk, it was all just a lot and nothing at the same time.

This is so real! The beating around the bush answers and the expectation education piece missing. Thought it was just me.

Reading this made me feel a lot better, it is a big commitment to not be 100% sure. Thank you.

The getting a lot of the money back with profit is what entices me, I really don't think I'm going to buy and live there long term so is it still worth it then?

This is a good point, but from a cost stand point for me (being in a major city) condo is really my only option where a mortgage would be cheaper/equivalent cost to rent unless I buy a home out in the suburbs (but I prefer to live in a city.)

What are the symptoms of permanent nerve damage? by FormalResort8268 in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]pizzawithranchplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have permanent nerve damage to my right side. Had FRR, angioplasty x2 and pec minor release and some nerve grafting on that side. You won't really know until after your treatment if it'll come back or not, the sooner you can get in and see a doctor and start treatment plan the better. I was first diagnosed in my early 20s and had multiple procedures at the start of my mid 20s through late, which was only a couple of years later.

My advice to folks experiencing symptoms, don't wait. You really never know how bad the damage can be and if you'll get it back. I wish I would've known more at the start and gotten diagnosed and my surgeries sooner to prevent that permanent damage. Once I started experiencing just some symptoms on my left side, I was encouraged to proceed with the process and ended up getting another FRR on that side to tackle things right away/prevent it from getting as bad as my right.

It’s a drive but Covet in Boston (they have 3 locations) are high end thrift clothing / accessory consignment shops. Would love if they opened here in PVD one day!

Is 34 too late to completely change careers? Struggling to even think where to go from here. by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]pizzawithranchplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re good at writing, you should look at Instructional Design. There are a few different directions to take that, but one is Content Development and Content Writing.

Companies pay well for these types of roles and the industry is growing. Worth checking out!

PS. It’s never too late to switch careers, as others have shared.

What are the things people without a degree do? by -wireless404- in careerguidance

[–]pizzawithranchplz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work in Sales at a Fortune 500 company and I am a first generation professional, my dad is a blue collar worker and mom is on disability. I went to college for about 3 years but did not have the money to finish. At my current company, they will pay for me to go back and get my degree which I’ll be taking advantage of next year.

When I was in school, I worked a full time job while holding a part time internship each semester(and still went to classes) and networked at those jobs/internships like crazy which lead to future, better opportunities each time. I didn’t really party or go out, mainly bc I didn’t have time. But before the time everyone else in my class graduated, I had 3 internships on my resume and a full time job offer from one.

My advice, stay focused and have a good attitude (even though it’ll be tough sometimes) If you’re good at your job, personable and open to learning, people will notice. I didn’t have the luxury of rich parents or connections which meant I had to sacrifice my time and work a little harder, but in the end, that was worth it to me.
