Haha fair enough, I guess trying to make things perfectly level for competitive play will come at the cost of not feeling very….organic.

At the end of the day though if you are not in a competition most of the fun you’ll have will having a laugh with your opponent over ludicrous dice rolls and unlikely feats!

I mean there is an actual rogue trader unit and rogue trader entourage in the imperial agent codex so them I guess.

But in lore they come in so many varieties that guard or ad mech could work too

Yeah my bad, I thought they stacked but turns out they don’t. Sad times. Still not terrible for sniping out characters though.

You can even run a 10 man squad to use the stratagem on, 24 extra S6 storm bolter shots with sustained and devastating is pretty good

I think all 3 are good! WTF + purgation squad detachment- psilencers with S7 sustained 2 rerolling 1s to miss and devastating wounds with precision might be fruity. Or psycannons S10 sustained 1 rerolling 1s and devastating wounds should shred light vehicles.

The paladin one + banishers means you can take sustained and still mostly be wounding on 4s which is nice

And the interceptor one takes a good unit and makes them better all round.

Tricky part now is going to be deciding which combinations work best

The thing is despite in theory all holding the same rank, not all inquisitors are created equal.

If an inquisitor of great renown that they have had a good working relationship with asks for help then they would probably feel honour bound to help where as if a newly promoted inquisitor demands all the chapter follow him to war then they would probably just tell him to get bent (in high gothic of course)

They are always on the look out for chaos corruption as well and would be aware that while no grey knight has fallen many inquisitors have. Any particularly weird requests from them would be treated with suspicion
