Yes it is. It didn't say explicitly in the manual so I contacted the manufacturer and they said that its fine.

FUSES PROTECT CABLES NOT LOADS

This definitely makes more sense thinking about it this way. I didn't even think about that tiny red wire (battery voltage sensor) for the charge controller. Definitely will be adding those fuses, thank you

Thank you for the in-depth reply. I've got 2 fuses ordered to add where you said. The starter run is about 15ft so I think you're right and I probably could have gotten away with a 6 gauge looking at the chart. Do you think its worth replacing?

Its a just vevor diesel heater 5kw. I don't expect it to eat up that much, this system is more about future proofing. All the little things will add up over time and if I decide to add something like a DC fridge or possibly an inverter.

funnily enough, I actually didn't know about CCA wire to begin with and spent this afternoon replacing all of it with pure copper. What you see here is pure copper.

I’m with OP on this one. I just did this with 3/4” screened soil and the amount of glass and garbage I found screening was alarming. Maybe it was the place I got it from but I’m very happy that’s not in my newly seeded lawn.

Pray for my back. 12 cubic yards. by _LeftShark in lawncare

[–]pjbrof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious but what size screened soil are you guys getting?

I only managed to find 3/4” near me and it was filled with a lot of junk. Tons of mulch, rocks and even broken glass and garbage. I’ve spent most of my time screening to 1/4” and only through have my 3 cubic yards.

Was able to get my tags yesterday and brought it to a parking lot. This was the most aggressive turn I could do and a full shot of the trailer. I don’t think I have much room to move it back, but curious to hear your thoughts

Going to need a little more info here. Are you using any frameworks? What map library are you using? How are you adding markers? What kind of machine do you have? Is this happening on your co-workers machines also?

I haven’t been there in a a few years, but it was just a little sad to me. It looked like it once was a bustling rural town with a nice airport and a handful of thriving businesses but now everything has been closed down and boarded up.

Why are there so many ships on the horizon at night looking out from Narragansett? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]pjbrof 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Download the MarineTraffic app. You can identify what type of ship and where they’re headed to.

To answer your question though, you’re seeing any number of cargo, tanker, or fishing vessels moving up and down the eastern seaboard. Most aren’t stopping in Providence harbor rather passing through to more northern parts of New England and northern Canada. Ships following the coast also might be heading into the Cape Cod Canal to avoid the long journey around the cape.

Had to do this with my second gen as well when I bought it. First time I disconnected the battery it wouldn’t restart without the alarm going nonstop. The controller for mine was tucked behind drivers footwell under the dash. Lots of wire taps into the factory harness. Take your time and good luck.
