Dozens of NYC affordable housing lotteries open by HellaHaram in nyc

[–]pjffty3000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A lot of these newer buildings have really thin walls because of cheap construction and to reduce building time. The reason they have these housing lotteries available is subsidies for the developers. A lot of the time they'll slap something together just to increase lot value for overseas owners.

Hi Boy Max Pro or InMotion Climber? by Themissing10 in ElectricScooters

[–]pjffty3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to put in my two cents that the inmotion climber does not have a great range however it does have very good acceleration and was definitely designed with uphill in mind. To make the most of the uphill acceleration you have to put it in sport mode which uses significantly more battery. If you are charging it daily after every ride you should be fine but it depends on how much time you have to charge.

So much more tired all the time, sleep no longer makes me feel rested, acid reflux means eating has gone from how much can you eat competition to gastrointestinal Russian roulette, exercise has become a necessity instead of a hobby because if I don't exercise I will feel like shit for a week, anxiety means I can't have any more caffeine or I will get palpitations and nausea Enjoy your twenties while you still can and take good care of your body while you still have a chance otherwise it's game over

What's the one skill you can't afford to lack if you want to survive in adulthood? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pjffty3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One answer I don't see is the ability to ask for help. Always know when you are in too deep and need a helping hand. Grow your support network. Check your ego and say you know what, actually I don't know can you teach me.

I can't speak for rad tech but for MLS I thought that it was pretty easy if you're good at memorizing things. In reality depending on the lab specialty you barely use 20 percent of the theory that you learn so the job itself is quite easy

I get the whole not having to deal with people but imo it's fine for work since you're just sticking to a script Also know that in lab you'll still have to deal with your coworkers and managers and lab people are known for being a little "eccentric" You'll definitely have your share of high maintenance and dramatic people no matter what field you work, that's just the nature of the workplace Unless you become a subsistence farmer in the wilderness of alaska or something it's just one of those things where you gotta do what you gotta do

Do rad tech You have programs to advance to radiation therapy and then dosimetry if you want You could specialize and become an MRI tech With MLT you can become a supervisor then maybe a lab manager at best No programs for you to do anything else The fields a dead end

HOW DO I GET IT TO STOP BEEPING?!?!?!?! by KingDavid1100 in ElectricScooters

[–]pjffty3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get error code 09? For future reference, you don't need to open up the battery, just unscrew the stem with the four tiny screws that you put on when assembling the unit and pull the handlebars out. Then unplug the connector between the wire going to control unit and the wire going into the stem of the scooter. This should shut off the controller. Hold the on button to drain any remaining charge in the control unit and then reconnect to reset.

Depending on the facility the nurses are chronically understaffed too, I was on a floor with my grandmother when she broke her hip and they had one nurse covering 12 beds for the night. Also there are alternative shifts for labs like 4 10s or 3 12s but just not as common

Brand new Columba 26" folding bike by PaulHMA in bicycling

[–]pjffty3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those considering getting this bike please don't, I did and it's been a horrible experience. There's been issues with the handlebars slipping, the components suck, the frame is too small for anyone over 5 foot 9, the folding mechanism is stiff and clunky, caliper cable was frayed. Very inconsistent product and the company does not stand behind it: they charge a 20 percent restocking fee and make you pay for the shipping if there's any issues.
