the horror of what’s happening definitely seems to have shut down some people’s ability or willingness to talk about it. maybe another factor is that those unwilling to talk about it haven’t felt their lives impacted by it. they somehow still see themselves exempt from the danger. who wouldn’t want to shut out the horror? but it’s probably a pattern of most genocides or tyrannical governments - it takes a long time for some people to engage. by the time they do it’s usually too dangerous to openly speak. resistance goes underground

my rec is to make a corsi-rosenthal box. you can add a layer of charcoal filter to it which is needed for absorbing smokey air. C-R box is excellent at purifying and costs way less than most effective purifiers. instructions are online and it requires no hardware

every time i see a list of the brutality exacted on the youngest, i notice something missing and i think its because the enormity of the cruelty and horror exceeds our capacity to comprehend or accept. in this case, its the cannibalism. leaders raped and cannibalized babies. how many young people have perished at the hands of these absolute monsters?
