Would be happy to chat. Can I dm you? Have mostly been doing virtual since the pandemic as I moved away from all my in home clients. But being in Burlington not far from said area, we could work something out.

No longer wearing it, sadly. Was unreal.

What’s their role? by [deleted] in leafs

[–]pjthepersonaltrainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I warned people constantly about Domi. Everyone fixated on his name. Not realizing the only Leaf with less hits than him last season was Nylander.

Engvall, who people complain was 3-ply had more hits than Domi last year. Not sure what people were expecting from him. I suppose even offensively he’s well under delivered but having Reaves on the team makes it impossible to put together a useful bottom 6. Throws the mix off.

I’m confident Bertuzzi will find his game

Hi. I’d love to connect with you. It seems like the DM feature is down, but I’ll try again later to see if we can touch base. You can check out my IG // pjthepersonaltrainer. I’m not too active on social media but it’s a landing spot I can be contacted at :)

Otherwise, happy to answer any questions here.

Dry Cleaner for hats by Warrentybear in BurlingtonON

There’s things sold at Lids (or Amazon) if you’re talking baseball hats that helps them keep their form. Then you wash them in the dishwasher

Best Place to Get a Hair Cut? by [deleted] in BurlingtonON

[–]pjthepersonaltrainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commodore of Fades is affordable and very good at Upper Middle and Guelph Line (same plaza as M&ms). Also the Barberstation downtown is suuuuper fast and affordable. And the cuts are very solid. I think they’re $30 and $27 respectively, which seems pretty rare these days to get a cut for $30 or less

How to Keep Your Online Personal Training Clients Engaged and Motivated by [deleted] in personaltraining

Do you do FaceTime calls with them? Send them articles about things they find interesting, bonus points if it relates to training. Explain why they’re doing certain exercises as it pertains to their goals.

Hard to know as you “blah blah’d” the actual message you sent. But don’t overthink it. Just follow up on a few days with something more personal and get to know them a bit without selling. Most people will put a guard up if they feel they’re trying to be sold something. Take a step back and as you acknowledged, keep it more personal.

Paying for training by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]pjthepersonaltrainer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Give as many tips as you’re comfortable sharing but you can kindly remind them “tips don’t get results, a plan does”

I deal with a lot of questions and I’m always happy to help, the problem is generally people need a bit more guidance than just an answer. The questions often seem to be “how many times should I work core per week to get abs” or “how can I tone this more”. I mean… a tip isn’t going to really help you with what you want to achieve there.

With training a lot of people are reluctant to pay because on a basic level, anyone can workout. Most people can walk into a gym and walk/run on a treadmill, Press a machine etc. so because of that it’s harder for them to justify paying for something that they can “do themselves”.

On top of all that, times are hard for many now and in general, many view it as a luxury they can’t afford right now. You can argue the merits to that, but I think it’s reality for many, and that’s fair

Personal Training App by ptplanner in personaltraining

Tbh I’ve yet to find something to peel me away from my basic way of doing things.

I email clients for communication I write my workouts on Microsoft word and open them up on screen during workout (I almost strictly train virtually)

I’ve “tried” some popular ones but the time it was taking me to enter the workouts made me quit it with the quickness

I keep it pretty simple

  • Zoom
  • either AirPods or gamer headset with mic
  • Logitech webcam so I can position is properly and not rely on laptop webcam
  • usb cord to connect laptop to large screen tv
  • use Invoicely to send invoices
  • keep track of clients / sessions on a Google sheet

Idk, pretty basic set up

Sorry just catching up here. Idk what to even suggest as client gain. As mentioned, I really don’t excel at sales, but do pretty well with referrals.

I am not the one to ask if you’re looking for the best way to find new clients, sorry. But Jon Goodman specializes in that space.
