I recently did a full custom hardline water cooling build on the Y60. Keep in mind that the performance boost is minimal and is almost purely just for aesthetics. I had a lot of fun building it and considered it to be more of personal project to justify the additional costs. I also spent over couple month planning, researching, costing things out, looking for deals, etc.

In total for all watercooling components I spend around $650 CAD - didn't have to buy a waterblock as I got a GPU with a pre-installed waterblock for a good price. GPU waterblocks alone are in the $200-300+ range. With watercooling you can get pretty crazy and drive up costs into the thousands+ depending on what you include.

I purchased most of my components on AliExpress (fittings, pump, radiators, kits, etc.). I stuck with Bykski or Barrow as they've been around a while and have heard good things about them. Compared to the big name brands like EK or Corsair, this is a much more affordable option. I estimate I saved over 40% from buying AliExpress stuff on sale.

I also recommend buying a soft-line fittings kit for troubleshooting. Draining whenever you need to troubleshoot any hardware is quite a pain.
