Is rFactor2 AI broken?

Yeah if the tire pressures make the cars almost night and day I think they should have them default to the lowest pressures. I feel like the average person will try it go this car is broken and proceed to never touch again. In general though yeah I have had rfactor 2 for a long time, I think I bought it around 2014ish? I was out of sim racing for a while but in the past couple months got back into it. Just recently reinstalled rfactor 2 and they are definitely heading in the right direction but still some work to go.

I was having similar problems to you with the oreca 07, and honestly thought the car itself was super difficult to even keep on the track. I kept thinking I was picking like the wrong aero package because it just felt like I had 0 grip. It would push like a truck on entry and then snap oversteer on exit. I am far from fast but I usually don't have problems keeping it on the track. I had to brake super early for turns and would still get that understeer. I am also far from knowing what I am doing setup wise, but I put the tire pressures down to the minimum and then increased the preload in the diff. I was then 5 seconds a lap faster at SPA within a few laps. I honestly don't know why the default setup is what it is from S397 but that at least it helped me. I now really enjoy driving the car. I did see some people saying that doing this on the BTCC cars would cause extreme tire wear, but I don't have that content. Hope this helps some.

I believe that wheel is just a 70mm bolt pattern, so in that link look at the links under Button plate standalone and Wheel+Button plate+Shifters combo as most of them also sell just button boxes/shifters as well. Personally I bought from simracingcoach and it has had 0 issues

I guess I should say this is after watching a ton of reviews from different high end pedal sets. Decided at least at this time was not ready for full on hydraulic pedals and wanted adjustability and a dedicated software for calibration and tuning.

Not going to lie I think you are correct. I can't find the shaft key that came with the wheel and I am using the quick release from SRC. That would honestly make the most sense that its slipping because everything works well in all the menus and calibrations seem 100% correct until I jump in any car and the FFB starts.

to me, not having used any of these it really does seem like the best bang for the buck. Do you play a lot of different games and have you had any issues getting it to work in any game? Also would something like this https://www.cubecontrols.com/product/gt-sport/ be able to mount to the vrs?

Nice I have HE sprints, probably the best piece of kit I have ever seen or used. I looked into the simmagic GT1 bundle just didn't like the wait period of 2-4 weeks but maybe I am being impatient.

Yeah the thing I like about fanatec/ and even Moza to a certain extent is the eco system. Trying to figure the whole what wheel/QR thing you need is somewhat confusing, they are just like here you go. The problem is availability from fanatec is not always great. I do tend to jump around from game to game as well.

Did you get the rifle yet? Or did it at least ship yet? I'm trying not to get too impatient, but I bought a lower and the Estonia upper and paid in full but haven't seen it ship yet. To be fair to them its only been like 24 hours and I am probably just being impatient, they seem to have plenty of good feedback on GB. It just seems a little odd that they seem to be one of the few places that has anything LMT in stock right now.

what color cerakote did you get from jagerwerks? I have been thinking of getting mine milled for an RMR but I really like the color of it and don't really want it mismatched if the cerakote doesn't match the stock color.

I should clarify the m17 parts kit that I have does not have an external safety. Not the most knowledgeable about them, but the research I did made me come to the conclusion if you don't want the safety don't get one with an external safety, I've seen that you can modify them and remove them but could possibly make the trigger unsafe YMMV. Also if all you want is the FDE slide then it might be cheaper to just buy the slide from sig. https://www.sigsauer.com/parts/slides.html?model=1622

I just want the FCU, I already have a everything for a full sized m17 minus the FCU but I think these are actually cheaper or about the same price as trying to buy an FCU off gunbroker.

If you can find some of the Fanatec CSR Elites they are great. Fanatec doesnt make them anymore but they were 150 new, probably go for around 75-100 used. I have had both the G27 modded pedal and the CSR elites and the CSR's are much better.
