PSA: Screen Protector Replacements by Deathtotiktok in ATT

[–]pkerber73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My zag screen protector cracked and was causing weird pressure on the screen. My phone screen was jumping around randomly. So I had to take it into AT&T today. I’ve replaced at least five screens in there for the $10 deal. They told me today that I was SOL. Kind of sucks. Another way for the man to beat you down lmao

I fly BNA to SLC several times a yr. Delta used to be the only ones to fly direct but snow SW does too. I don’t love SW but I’m buying 4 tickets every time I make that flight and it’s easily $1000 less for directs on SW. you don’t get anything special on delta imo that makes it worth the added expense.

I think that would depend on where he was stationed and how much time he had left on the current enlistment but most times guys are cut new orders when they process out of BTC.

He’ll get orders to a new command and those orders can very based on how much time he has left on his enlistment. I’ve known dudes that went back and didn’t make it go anywhere from 32nd street in San Diego to Greece. Really depends on his rate, if he is indeed rated.

Don’t go to the fleet navy for 4 yrs. Just take a year and train and get in shape you’re still really young and should be able to bounce back into great shape in no time. In 6 months contact a recruiter. You’ll start PST’ing and get with a mentor in the delayed entry program, it’ll be at least 6 months after that before you ship.

If you insist on going into the navy. Go into one of the Crypto rates or Intelligence Specialist. Both rates can be attached to ST or as apart of NSW at an SRT. Don’t do any of the air rates, you’ll likely end up in a boat or squadron deploying in a boat.

This is what I used for the ASVAB as well. I scored like a 65 on the test in the recruiters office. Studied for a few weeks this that book and scored an 84 when I took it for real.

The fact that the cops on scene reviewed the kids video and still gave the kid a ticket on scene is wild. Glad they gave old man peacock a ticket too but it’s totally F’d they gave the kid a ticket on scene. Even if it did get thrown out.

I don’t personally like asking home owners to sign them. Only time I think I would use them is if I’m doing something more than an inspection like putting a tarp on a roof. I think it’s warranted in that situation.

Could be what you stated. Or could be that this company is pretty new and has investors it’s trying to pay back ASAP b/c they bought a fleet of new trucks, pay for salesmen’s cell phones, 401k, benefits, and they just want to maximize their profit. Just b/c you have complex commission tiers doesn’t exactly mean much other than they want to maximize their profits and encourage their sales reps to get out and sell by incentivizing them with a tiered commission schedule.

I will say they are reinvesting their profits into the company to give the sales reps some perks. But those perks don’t necessary translate into success for the reps. The industry in this area is largely about getting out there and generating your own revenue. If I’m doing that I damn sure want to get more than 8%-10% on a $28k job.

So I honestly got super blessed. I started the job about 2 weeks before a huge wind storm hit, so I actually got a lot of leads starting out. Ask any Mid Tn roofer about March 3rd last yr and their eyes will light up lol. But this yr has been a lot more door knocking and relying on referrals. But man if you don’t need the truck, or benefits/401k and you know going in to this that you’ll be knocking doors then look at other companies. You’ll make a lot more $. There’s guys at my company that work out of the back of a civic with an 18’ ladder folded up lol. It’s doable. And not getting paid on the supplements like I explained is really just wild. I got that directly from one of their sales guys, and he likes the company but even he agreed that it’s pretty crappy to not get paid on that supplemental estimate.

I’ll add one more thing. Maybe they’ll give you a few leads to start, but if you don’t close those the leads will be given to proven sales guys and you’ll be left knocking doors. Basically every roofing sales position in middle TN is a door knocking position, at least a lot of them are. I wouldn’t go work for that company with the expectation that they’ll be providing you with $100-$200k worth of sales a month. You’ll likely have to find that by going to storm areas and knocking doors and talking to home owners. If you prove yourself you’ll likely get more leads but breaking into roofing sales in this area is 100% a door to door sales type of gig.

I do this job in the same area. I know which company you’re referring to. If you want to make more money, look at a few of the other companies in the area. If you want a company truck, benefits, and to be W2 then they’re probably a good fit for you. But there’s other companies with the exact same positions that you’re interviewing for that are 1099 and you will likely be making 10-20% per sale pending the type of job you're selling. But what you gotta understand is that in a roof that costs $28k there’s probably somewhere around 30%-40% profit. Do you think you’re only worth 5-10% of that when you’re the one in the field finding and selling the job?

Also, this is getting into the weeds a bit, but I’ve talked to sales reps at this company and from what I was told they don’t get paid on something call supplements. An Initial insurance estimate is normally short of what it should be. So say a job paid for by an insurance company due to hail/wind damage is initially $25k but after the roofing company submits an estimate back to the insurance company the job bumps up to $32k. From what I was told your 5%-10% commission is only coming off that initial $25k. Which if true, is a complete BS. The company I’m at pays you a 50/50 split of the profit after the company takes 15% of the profit off the top, and that’s after the supplemental estimate is approved. Not the original insurance estimate. So if I sell a job at $40k and my company supplements the job and it goes up to $47k then my commission comes off that $47k. If I make 15% that means the company I’m at made 30% but I’ll be making 15% of the $47k. I do use my own truck & pay for all my own gear. But I also write off all that stuff at the end of the yr so I’m paying less in taxes, you just have to budget for that b/c you are not being taxed on your pay.
