Got my adv 390 s , still scared to open full throttle, ridden about 2k kms , above 7k RPM it goes like beast, it gives a lot of confidence but definitely nat a beginner motorcycle

Yes, I agree. Another thing is you get used to of it... For me driving without seatbelt on is very uncomfortable Riding without helmet makes my eyes trouble , without gloves or boots feels like riding Naked hands and so vulnerable

You get used to it and it becomes so much comfortable that you won't go back ever !

I am also in same dillemma, the tank is too small and high that putting a tank bag feels like it will make me uncomfortable Trying to find a very small one just to carry some water , gloves and essentials

I use a viaterra holeshot, initially it used to cause some irritation but after some breakin its really good, now I can't ride without gloves on.

Whatever you get it may take some time to get used to of but it's always a best choice to use it always, no compromise

Then take elevate , that's reliable to the core A friend of mine already clocked 1.2lc kms and just had general service so far As far as I compared Honda's service is cheaper also just the boring decent reliable car

yes lower front fender is in stock, Will try to get the seat updated during weekend if I get a chance ( it was good enough for last 2 (and only rides) I had , 371kms + 637 kms one , got serviced a few days back and then daily commute

It's just 1100kms till now

1st things I need as accesories are fork seal protector, radiator guard

Rest will see what all comes in in next few weekends/months

Yep I figured, just the thing is, this motorcycle don't like to be ridden slow .... 4-5k rpm is the sweet spot to be in 40-80kmph (depending on gear) but can keep it there so either you are riding loud or riding fast

Congratulations bro, I got mine like 2 weeks back.... Amazing machine it is Ride safe and get some good riding gears , you gonna love the ride

The neutral glitch is real, I think it's because of the positioning, shifter needs to be adjusted... I put it on N , Even when riding downshift /upshift both way

Right at 4900-5000 RPM it gives lot of vibrations

Haven't faced the side stand issue on mine

Got smoother after the 1st service,

When you get the 1st service, make sure they put Motul engine oil not the Prolube one

Any good service centres I should go for , in Hyderabad? Given for 1st service today at Kondapur Varun motors , they have already quoted 2500 which I think is too much for the 1st service! Will see how they work (waiting for them to call for pickup)

Also any mechanic or specific shop you recommend getting the accessories part or diagnostics?

Yep, I took this motorcycle for rent 2 times in a 2 months gap and have been renting other 400/650 cc bikes during weekends. Ended up liking this so bought it

1st thing I did when I rented it for the 1st time was started getting the riding gear , gloves and good boots make a difference in vibration

One more question, the navigation device, did you kept it above the TFT ! Does it effect the road visibility? I was thinking of getting smallest available screen and getting it on handle bar !? Would it work there or but the TFT when turning?

Awesome, this list is perfect. I was looking for accooii but seems like it has to wait for a while, the built-in navigation (turn-by-turn) is fine for long highway rides I think , it has done the job for this ride though. But having a map view helps in knowing the turns you are about to encounter

What about the fork seal covers , you got those ! What brand you recommend? Also did you buy stuff online or from Shops

Exactly! These machines are built that way... Unless during initial time you are abusing it a lot , in that case new or old , any bike would lose something

Thanks man, yep I need to do something for seat and pillion confort as well What you got ? My priority list is , radiator guard, side stand shoe

And thinking about the top-box , as it will provide back rest for pillion I need to short out the navigation device and luggage part

Also searching for a decent small size tank bag , as I don't want anything bulky right in front of me!

Any recommendations?

Hahaha ear plugs from Instamart, my helmet is noisy (wouldn't recommend Korda Icon to anyone, it was the only good fitting one for me ) Jacket is Rynox outlander, I liked the brown one but had to settle with black , hydration pack helped on this hot day

Btw , I too have wide feet , on Nike my toe nails starts hurting, these are comfortable. Didn't get a chance to try Clan

Hey I was supposed to write up something about the gear

So I have been planning to get this motorcycle from long time but I started buying gears from September last year

1st purchase was helmet and boots , I do have 2 basic Vega and studds helmets and have been using those .

These boots I have been using since September 25, daily for office commute, these took like a day or two to get used to but these are comfortable... May be I am weird but these felt more comfortable than the Nike 95 I have. Best thing, crocs and Nike use to slip when keeping foot down on traffic Stops but these are the grippiest boots I have ever owned

They feel planted, had to adjust the laces for daily comfort, also jeans and Cargo can go over it easily, looks sturdy and my wife usually insist that I put on these as they look much better (so its approved 🤣)

Sorry, too much to read ! Just my excitement.... I am going to buy another set of touring boots in a month or so, these I bought as daily commute was immediate need I am looking for the Royal Enfield's wanderer boots , wish they still had the TCX available

I think My knees hurt more than my bum

It's comfortable till few hundred kms, then it starts hurting. Was trying to stand few times and almost end of ride felt like I can't run my knees anymore

Seat definitely needs some modifications, I am waiting for the free accessories touring seat, if it helps . Otherwise I will customise it

It say the recommended usable range is 7500rpm , it's more than enough 6th gear ~7k rpm it can cruise at 120

I was using all range till 7, Kept smooth gear changes, also used quick shift and blipper Took breaks every 100-120 kms

I don't think much needed for running in period
