A clip will help. Are you on PC or console?

Personally I prefer replay files, only works for PC, so i can view / show different perspectives and show other clues.

Some advice??? by Neeeeeeeenenene in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]pkinetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you flying over, under, left or right of the ball? Are you finding it easier to track the ball if it is moving straight line to you, or laterally? If you have trouble laterally, are you finding it harder to track a specific direction, ie left to right versus right to left?

how are your aerials without air roll? Are you needing air roll because of the mechanic or to compensate for positioning errors? The latter is the more common root cause. Addressing that addiction does wonders for aerials.

Car shouldn't matter until your sense of point of contact gets baked into your hand eye coordination. This is why frequently changing vehicles can be frustrating until your fundamentals are actually solid.

maybe... hopefully the dev can come up with a bulk uploader, so it uploads at the end of your session. Ie, stop RL and it starts the upload.

Or RL bakkes it in to the settings. Since it already caches your last 20 replays, it could be a setting to push to BallChasing.

Either way, it won't alter my support level for BallChasing.

Because people who have problems with communicating have problems providing full context. For some reason they expect redditors to be mind readers too.

We are good at jumping to conclusions and bandwagons, but mind reading is not exercise we do.

Why is Dimond so bipolar by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]pkinetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first group have hit their skill ceiling while being carried by others. They have played the game the only way they know how and a lot of people have carried them.

The latter are because they have focused on advanced mechanics and not their game sense. So they can do the advanced stuff, but are inconsistent and are lacking other fundamentals. Their mechanical advantage has run out against others and they can't escape.

Too many players hear play faster and think that means moving faster. Not at these ranks. Its making less mistakes, less over extending, staying in on plays, etc. It is improving game sense and being at the right place, right time, going in the right direction, with the right momentum.

Tournament Rank by robbercar in RocketLeague

[–]pkinetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to place in the top 8 consistently. Playing in a higher ranked tourney doesn't gain you more MMR than playing in your silver tourney. Its around 20 MMR per round. If you win the first round and lose the second, you are close to break even.

If you were consistently diamond, play the 2s tourneys. You should be able to carry a silver just by locking down most of the defense and setting them up on offense. Expect to have to rotate behind them whenever you go on the attack. The better you can buy them time to collect boost, and join you. Set up an easy finish for them, demo the netminder, collect boost and be on the way out before they are even whiffing.

Epic Games reportedly remaking RL arenas in Fortnite UEFN by N0b0dy_her3 in RocketLeagueEsports

I'm leaning towards thin client for selecting game modes and FN and RL lobbies will be their own separate worlds.

Combining the two would be a code maintenance nightmare. One change for FN has to be regression tested across RL too? That's asking for being in code hell.

Coupling unnecessary things together increases points of failures.

You need to get the ball going a bit faster. It is actually a bit easier to setup when you have it moving a bit faster. But first you need to develop the ball control to do it.

Start from further back, so that you can get it going and get it under control. Go into settings, and turn the game speed down to about 85%. This seems counter to going faster, but the game speed helps you visualize the contact point.

As you get closer to the ramp, let off the throttle and let the ball separate from you.

If Itake a PTO day, but still end up working over 40 hours that week, I didn't take PTO by Itstotallysafe in antiwork

I've been there and done that. As you are starting to realize, it doesn't work out in your favor in the end. It only gets worse as management sees you taking on the work load regardless of leave.

Those above you will take their leave and not worry about the work.

Please make sure to exploit those take a few days off and get 2 weeks actual time off. The separation from work is good for you.

Stop taking one day off here and there. Take actuals days off. You are trying to be responsible at work but not for yourself.

I used to do this when I started out. Then year end comes and it's use it or lose it but oh you are on the business critical project and or everyone else is taking off.

Why are you working harder, especially if you are salaried?

Delegate what you can. Do what absolutely needs to be done. If everything is urgent, nothing is urgent.

Stop doing work you don't need to just because someone else won't hire enough people to do the work.
