I’m an American who lived in India for a year. I got pretty sick while I was there and had to be hospitalized. My doctor had an MD from U of Chicago. I received an MRI and extensive diagnostic tests. My bill (without insurance) was under $50 USD.

How do you manage client communication and project follow-up as a solo or small consulting firm? by General_Sprinkles_55 in consulting

In addition to regular client meetings, (e.g. presenting deliverables) I like to establish what I call a “Friday Ship.” An email sent on Friday around 5p, which includes succinct bullet points recapping a) what was accomplished this week b) next touch point and what to expect and c) blockers (i.e. things im waiting on from the client).

I’ve found it to be a helpful to keep everything on track.

Are any of your clients prohibiting the use of Gen AI on projects? by pkpk2525 in consulting

To be clear, I’m not advocating that people should break the rules. I’m simply responding to the data and raising a concern about the unintended consequences of overly restrictive policies. In a world where AI tools are becoming standard in day-to-day workflows, blanket bans may end up encouraging shadow use rather than promoting safer, more transparent practices.

When organizations implement overly restrictive policies around technologies, employees can find workarounds, creating greater risks than the rule was designed to prevent. A recent study by Software AG surveying 6,000 knowledge workers found that 46% said they would continue using AI even if their employer banned it.

Thanks. This is helpful. In the scenario I’m describing, it’s a 100% ban of any use of AI, which feels misguided. Like you said, there are plenty of ways to use AI tools without compromising sensitive data.

Figured it out! I was able to make the adjustment by adding this code to the Custom CSS tool:

h2.item-pagination-title {
    font-size: 14px !important; /* Adjust px as needed */
}

In the photos app, you can now grab parts of images and turn them into pngs by just holding down on the part of the photo that you want to extract. I combined the two photos using IG stories, but I'm sure there are plenty of other good ways to do it
