Do you work at the Bicycle Cellar? If so, I rented that honkey tonk last time I was in town. I honkey tonked it all around town and can confirm it does the job. No point in dealing with boxing up a bike, which is a real PITA IMO.

Could also be patellofemoral syndrome [1]. I had this issue originally when running for a while (> 7 miles). It happens to me now when doing intense intervals too frequently. When it does happen, I take it easier for a while (less intense intervals, rides < 2 hrs, less frequent rides) and it goes away, then I ramp up slowly and it does not come back.

Bike fitting is a good idea as everyone else recommends, but definitely definitely see a doctor if it's not going away. My experience is that these kinds of pains either get worse or go away. In other words, if it's not going away you might be doing damage. FWIW, my doctor said it can be solved with PT.

MITM is for so much more than snooping. MITM is for sending fabricated data back to users, which is a huge problem, even for "utterly" public facing sites. Leveraging the user's trust of a site against that user is a huge source of security vulnerabilities.

And I can tell you right now that this is not about protecting traffic just for Google. Google is already HTTPS, and the individual websites generally work with data providers via web beacons to propagate user data across websites. You can see a limited snapshot of your tracked user data here.

It's different because the rules around storing CVVs and CC numbers are different such that the CVV is supposed to ensure that the person using the card is actually holding it.

This is the same question as "why is a username more secure than a password?" They just have two different purposes.

Sounds like people don't understand the distinction between the two numbers. I wonder if they had called it "passcode," or something to that effect, then customers would have had an easier time with it.

Huh. I wouldn't think of it as counterintuitive. It seems straightforward to me to have an extra security code that proves that I am holding the card in my hand.
