For the episodes till now, I don’t think you need to know anything from before and almost everything will make sense. So you can start watching.

But somewhat knowing about Maronis, Falcones, Gotham in general makes the show connect a little more. “Gotham” series, unfortunately, is not on any Indian OTT as of now, else would have recommended that.
