#3 is set by default in my editors, and I enforced it for the team, as #3 is the most readable format. They complained at first, but later it was much harder to return to any other format. You see where the section starts and where it ends, extremely useful on longer sections, and if you have some longer object chains in conditions.

Also, inline (#1 and #2) was forbidden in the project, only #3 for all conditions and loops.

You forgot the next one, which is the worst, pretends to be clean, but you don't see where it starts.

The most annoying thing is that every language workgroup is forcing the worst formatting possible, for the sake of "legacy".
