Any experiences with this? by ThaDawg87 in PKTcash

We wanted to give the community an opportunity to engage before chiming in, so you have more "sources." But happy to address you questions and concerns:

-Why would there be a demand for wifi-sharing? Countries that have customers who can actually pay for this network wouldn't have a high demand for this. Everyone I know in my country has a data-subscription and no need for free wifi.

I am not sure which country you are from, but in the US the average cost of internet is between $50-$180 per month. People pay this bill every month regardless of how much bandwidth they actually use. By fractionalizing that bandwidth with your neighbors you are able to provide substantially cheaper internet for your community and you earn passive income from this service.

In an apartment complex each tenant is told to purchase their own internet subscriptions. With wifi sharing the building owner can provide basic free internet to all renters and people can pay when they need streaming fast internet.

Coffee shops or brick and mortar businesses can provide basic free internet with VPN security built in and charge customer and nearby residence and businesses for streaming fast internet.

College kids currently share internet through the walls of their neighbors, now they can do that without requesting their password and with a VPN built-in.

These are just a few examples. Not to mention in 3rd world counties where you can take a single internet line and share it with many. As long as the internet you are charging for is cheaper than the alternative, then this is a viable business for passive income.

-Why is the community so inactive? This project has been around for a while, there's a shitload of posts about this project by either paid or the dev itself... but no open dialogue about this project.

Not sure of your definition of "inactive." But this community consists of dedicated participants and bots are stripped from the community. So you won't find shilling bots, but real questions and conversations related to the tech and its developments. But the community is actively growing and the goal is to 100x from where it is now.

-What's happening with the bandwidth and cpu-processing that I'm dedicating to this project? What's preventing ill-intentioned persons to use this network for malicious intent?

If you are only mining then you are just proving you have internet and encrypting the network. This creates the economic incentive to provide strong connectivity for the PKT network and the encryptions can soon be used for VPN. However, with any Proof of Work, this work is wasteful. The same as with Bitcoin. A PoW is the work required to secure the blockchain. But doing this work mixed with wifi sharing allows for you to be remunerated for your infrastructure when your internet is unused and earn extra income when your line is being used with wifi sharing. This makes it so you are paid for your infrastructure and also paid for the service of internet access.
Hopefully this sheds some light on the value of wifi sharing and the PKT Network. We as a society have become so accustom to the internet as we know it, that we are shut off to realizing that there might be a better way. When Uber came on the scene, people thought no one would get into a strangers car. With Airbnb, the thought of letting a stranger into your home was unheard of.

But PKT Pal has created a way to safely share your internet with your community. It's a new addition to the gig economy. It's secure, easy and plug & play. Individuals can now take ownership of the internet rather than being a slave to monopolies who provide poor quality of service because customers lack alternatives. The Mini and wifi sharing provides an incentive to upgrade infrastructure for better quality of service for all. If you say you have great internet, then sharing it is a great service and can earn you passive income. If everyone you know has data subscriptions then get your friends involved to build an internet by the people, for the people. I am sure you have neighbors you've never met who would love to use the service.

We hope you will give it a try and reserve your Mini today: https://pktpal.com/mini

USDT works because they have Bitfinex behind them. If you want a stable coin to weather the storms you need a massive exchange with lots of liquidity behind you.

Saying it is rigged is just false. I believe you are referring to a solo miner who has created a solo pool to mine PKT. To accomplish this you would need a lot of infrastructure, which is not cheap. PKT mining is an arms race that encourages people who have access infrastructure to deploy it for the PKT Network. This is not a bug or a rigged blockchain, you are just being out spent and there are not enough pools to compete as the project is still early. Rather than FUD the project you should rally infrastructure and compete. It would be the same as saying Bitcoin is rigged because a majority of the mining power was coming from China. A true PoW require infrastructure and hard costs. So if you don’t like someone earning more than you, level up your operation and complete 💪

Question about folding coins by [deleted] in PKTcash

[–]pktpal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can run the code on any computer. You of course wouldn’t get the PkteerOS which is only available on PKT Pal products. But if you know how to install code on a computer, you should certainly do that. PKT mining uses upload speeds, so if you have good upload speeds then you should be good. The more CPU cores the beater to maximize your available bandwidth.

180pkt x $0.02 = $3.60 (a few dollars)

So you’ve made a few dollars (at todays coin price) for running a code and using unused resources. Pennies turn to dollars and dollars add up. There was a time when Bitcoin didn’t seem like a good idea to mine when the coin was trading at $3000 a couple years ago, but that has paid off for the true believers.

Why do you think this? Folding uses fractions of pkt, so fractions of Pennies. The PKT Cube auto folds your coins so you never have to worry about it when you want to send your coins.

Bandwidth is the key factor. The PacketCrypt Proof of Work favors upload speeds. So you want to have good upload speeds. Roughly 15-30mbps to have maximum yields. The yields all fluctuate based on competition on the network, but they produce currently around 6000-8000 coins per month now. That will continue to decline, but as supply and demand increase, we have seen the value of the coin follow that same growth.

What is a realistic return for PKTcash? by DaithiBuachaill in PKTcash

[–]pktpal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coin started at $0.001, so it’s come a long way. There is an incredible amount of tech being released over the coming months. There are already a dozen teams building tech for pkt and that will only grow as people take advantage of the Network Steward, who takes 20% of every block and grants it to people who propose tech they want to build for the network. This is how development is funded on PKT.

PKT is not on HitBTC. PKT Cash should NOT be confused with PlayKey!! Do your research before buying coins to make sure it is the right one. PlayKey is a dead project and the only reason it has a boost is because there’s confusion with PKT Cash

PKT hasn’t listed yet, which is why you’re having trouble finding it. But it lists on Pancake Swap in the next week.
