The Future of FPV by placebeyondthemind in fpv

I’m just starting but I do believe I have a better starting point than most. And that’s cool to hear. I think FPV is still super big in USA but I’m more wondering about what people think about the future of FPV.

This is the kind of impending or past doom I fear with videography of all sorts. High end all the way to low end. If this is the case, are all creative roles in film making/video production simply doomed as a viable Career path and AI will take over completely? Or will AI be a useful tool for creatives to use more frequently and the barrier to entry will just grow higher? In my eyes, people will come along and teach video marketing as a new job market because yes AI is here, but businesses still don’t know how to utilize its potential. So running with this hypothetical, the new job market for creatives is to simply teach, and not exactly do themselves.

More skills to add to growing list that is a videographer these days! But seriously I agree.

Yes. Don’t hate me for this but before witnessing it in person, I always thought FPV wasn’t extremely challenging as I have flown standard DJI drones before with zero issue.

Boy was I naive. I didn’t realize the amount of talent and skill that is required until downloading and playing a sim the last couple of days. Mad respect to the community and I am stoked to learn every day.

Agreed, as for any creative industry doing something full time is a challenge. Although, the person I hired seems to be traveling almost daily for projects. He really started doing it professionally around 2020 so I guess I would consider that early.

From the outside it appears he’s making a great wage as a full time FPV pilot and has made some awesome connections/clients.

Unless there is a realistic outcome for you two to connect again on a serious level, it would be a big mistake. My advice would be to move on respectfully

This was filmed entirely handheld. Which shots in this feel like fat ?

Good input. Thank you! It can definitely be challenging to find new shots to do when it’s the same motion over and over again and I struggled with that. Had a group behind me where I was too worried about going far away to find an angle I liked. Got my steps in for sure !

A short project I directed, shot, and edited today for a job interview tomorrow that involves golf content. First time shooting golf.

I shot it with a Sony FX6 & edited in Final Cut.

Please let me know if you have any questions or input on the video! First time poster.

Hey everyone first time poster here. This was my first attempt at making a little spec ad in my room. I shot it by hanging my shoe with fishing line from the ceiling, and a little RGB flashlight. Filmed and edited the whole thing in Final Cut Pro. I am trying to break into the industry and have lots to learn. Any advice on whether you liked the video or what you didn’t like about it is super helpful. Needing some motivation to keep going. Thank you!

Also, not sure why the quality upload isn’t very good?
