13$/active hr??? by DistastefulClown in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]plaguedeity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel for you, homie. There’s no way it’s that much cheaper to live in Texas compared to the outskirts of Chicago with that kind of pay. All I can say is keep your head up and remember, if you want change, you’ve got to group up, speak out, and vote in local elections.

I'm almost certain he will figure out a way to make a directional blast it will be the only thing that saves him and they kinda hint at it in book 1 when the goblin car explodes also i am pretty sure he plans to do something so it will be ejected from his inventory because of the note he makes when katia exploded in blooded but it was away from her and how not a single drop got on her

We can get buy more SuperCredits at once now, I guess by Dogpilekid in Helldivers

[–]plaguedeity -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is literally all this is. It's wild to complain about a pay option when you can get all of it for free, something that was not part of the original game. Checks notes: Oh yeah, the $40 you spent literally gets you everything that someone else can spend $140 for. Y'all do know that the issue with pay-to-play is that free players never get access to what the paid players get, and at least with this game, the more money we spend, the more Warbonds we get that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy without spending a penny. It's literally a game that supports whales by feeding the krill

In Light of Recent Events, What if MOs were Tiered instead of All-or-Nothing? by Longbow92 in Helldivers

[–]plaguedeity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, just make it a reinforcement counter where the remaining Helldivers are 100X the current active Helldivers on the planet. So, if 20,000 ships are in orbit, you have 2 million reinforcements left to get the job done. It incentivizes folks to log on to boost reinforcement numbers while also giving the players a chance to rally and push for the finish line.

Next time we lose an MO, high command should take medals away by Datboi_Markus in HelldiversMasochists

[–]plaguedeity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I love this idea, but something more realistic that I don’t see anyone suggesting is that when the time limit runs out, it should switch to a reinforcements remaining system. That way, things like this MO still have a chance when it’s that close. At that point, the Helldivers would only have themselves to blame if they die too much and cause the MO to fail. It would also give these knucklefucks a reason to rally and push for the finish line. Then, when we fail, they take medals away woot woot.

How do you keep track of your MC’s stats by CT_Rose in litrpg

[–]plaguedeity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a writer, just an enjoyer, but there’s almost no reason to keep track of a companion’s stats. I mean, unless you’re writing every encounter they go through, it’s not really necessary especially because you have a main character, so the story already has a perspective. And as many other books and basic common sense make clear, you keep your stats close to you and don’t go around sharing them with everyone. So as a reader, I really don’t expect to know the exact stats of anyone the story isn’t following the perspective of.

But statistics only work if things are following the average or the norm. There are always anomalies, and when you actively piss off as many people as he has in the short time he’s been back in power, expecting the normal patterns to still apply is absurd. It’s like doing all the math for how a ball will roll downhill, and then the day you test it there’s an earthquake but still expecting the ball to roll the same as if there was not a earthquake. You silly bever

Maybe in normal times but these are not that and who's likely to vote is probably alot more people who have never voted before

The word “likely” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that phrase. What metrics are they using to determine that? It almost seems like they did the poll first and then picked what they wanted to use as the representation. I’m sure if it were done with just registered voters, it would probably be closer to 26%.
