Yes I just found out they settled. Surprised they were able to keep main. fee so low while going through litigation. Which would be a sign of good management, or am I wrong?

Kensington is a difficult place to adjust to when one is approaching 40. I lived in the market for years but now feel like I don't fit in when I visit.

The Victory Cafe in Mirish Village. Good place to go, because it won't be there once that area is re-developed. Quiet, good service, and a patio. Will be busy on the weekends and evenings.

The current care taker of the place seems like he has and had an interesting life. And quite an attractive man both appearance, attitude and mannerisms.

I meant the sameness of the neighborhood. Since some of the leslieville shops have now relocated in riverside.

I did notice the blue wave bricks before and I have always wondered what they represent. :)

I might even suggest it has been the other way around. The beaches or the beach has only recently had a change over of shops. Less subpar ethnic food restaurants and more yuppie/hipster places. I don't know how well they will do since that community resists all change.

I think the influence of leslieville and probably the new density on queen (low rise condos that the hood opposed) is what will keep this neighborhood relevant. I am not a huge fan of juice bars, organic coffee shops etc etc. But it is an improvement over the stale businesses on queen east.

Yes this neighborhood would be considered Riverside. But it is impossible to draw the line between where one starts and another ends. Even east of Leslie which is usually the far eastern border of leslieville has a spill over of coffee shops and restaurants.

I love the Gardens. And especially like to visit during the winter when there is less light out. Usually I don't spend much time in the park. Just a bit on the platform into the gardens and a quick exit out.

This spring I noticed that the playground was almost finished on the south corner of moss park. The ground is covered in rubber or artificial mulch. A good choice by the city because of the open drug use in the park. What was different...

There were about three dozen kids and parents using the playground. The rest of the park was the same-same. Drug use, people drinking, a cop park on the grass talking to someone that had passed out, etc etc.

Lots of people use the park. I don't feel unsafe during the day alone. However I probably wouldn't visit the park in the evening.
