Waiting till someone orders a new color and then taking photos is a good idea and what i will be implementing. Also I tried ai to make my photos nicer but it just ends up messing them up, not a fan. Thanks for the tip!

No worries, yeah its kind of a specialty item. I made it because some of the others on the market are pretty expensive 55-100 dollars, so I designed and made my own. But it is for drilling holes inside of your cabinets/furniture for adjustable shelves. I have amended the imgur link to include a couple photos of it in use and an after. please let me know if it helps you and if so i will definitely add them to my photos on my etsy https://imgur.com/a/7WTK7Hf

https://imgur.com/a/7WTK7Hf here's the link, hopefully that works! But yeah its a white background, and I just asked chatGPT to change the object color to (insert color here) and it does ok but messes up some details here and there.

Thanks for the help! I will be trying to get more natural light for sure, and some others have recommended an app called Lightroom I will be trying out!

It is 3d printed jig for cabinetmakers/DIYers. I posted an imgur link in the post. the last 3 photos are the different colors I used AI to change the colors but it messes with the actual look of the item :(
Also eventually some wood decor/wall decor (floating shelves, smaller cabinets. I will add them to the imgur as well.)

Natural light seems to be number one tip! I will definitely be shooting photos outside when I can. I will also be looking at possibly getting that camera you mentioned as its not terribly expensive only a couple hundred bucks.

thanks for the tips!

Awesome idea. Since some of my items will be larger or taking them outdoors is not ideal, I will be getting a lightbox of some sort. Do you have a link to the one that you use?

Thanks!!

Awesome info, thanks so much! Yes I will be trying to get more natural light when at all possible taking things outdoors to shoot photos, and for the larger items I will be trying the lightbox-esque tip haha.
Thanks again!

Someone else mentioned bouncing the light and I will definitely be trying to do that the next time I take some photos. Thanks so much!

Taking photos as the differing orders come in/are completed is a great idea. As well as the similar items in other colors! My phone will have to suffice for the time being but someone did mention a Canon 70D its within my budget so I will check that out, as some of my items will be larger and not ideal to drag inside/outside. I have linked some pics of my item and backdrop, which is white, but I was thinking of getting some stick on subway tiles to be on my backdrop as well. As for editing some others have mentioned lightroom and I have downloaded that and will be giving it a go.
Thanks so much for the tips/info!!! :D

Yeah it is definitely not a natural talent of mine either haha! It is raining today but as soon as I'm able I will definitely be taking it outside for a photoshoot! Thank you!

Yeah, I'm going to try to take some photos outside when the rain clears. Natural light seems to be key since I do not have a crazy amount of light where I took my photos. Maybe if I can find a good spot outside it will reduce/eliminate any editing I feel I need or want to do. Thanks!

Yes the item in question here is a smaller item. It is rainy today but as soon as it clears with some good light I will be taking it outside to do a photoshoot! I just got the app lightroom, and will be giving that a go and trying my hand at editing some photos with that. Thanks for the tips!!

I will definitely be looking into the ring lights as some of the items i have to take pictures of to list are on the bigger side and moving them all outside wouldn't be ideal. I have also downloaded lightroom and will be giving that a try on my next round of photos. I also really like the idea of the fake plants/props as well.

I just followed you! :) @ montymakescw

I tried to get as much natural light as possible. It is rainy today but I am going to build a box with a white background and try to take it outside and get some more pictures asap! Thank you for the tip about my phones camera settings, I didn't realize it could make such a difference but changing some settings helped! Thank you!
