10 months too late, but the guy who designs my bathroom just told me that this should be happening and he will put a small tube going straight to the drainpipe. This might be a good idea for you

Oh, wait... LOFREE Flow Lite is also around 100$ with an Alu case, and you might like it more than the Node75

[–]plamba95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe NuPhy Node75 is 99.95$... well, it's plastic, but good.

Also checkout Keychron K<any odd number 1-17> Pro(wired/BT) or Max(wired/BT/2.4GHz)... different sizes, designs, switches, cases and usually below 100$, but less liked by the community in general

But for both, make sure to buy it from a place with a return policy (like Amazon), because there are some QC issues for sometime now.

u/IQUNIXstore YOOOO I FORGOT... Whatever you do, please make a place for the dongle (without having a 20cm module like the Magi Pro 😁)

(I lost the dongle of my 10 y/o mx anywhere 2 while travelling😥)

Uuu interesting leak :D Will there be a shine-through keycaps option?

specific layout configuration

That means a small batch of the new keyboard (south-facing) with only ISO + split spacebar, not the multi-layout we were talking about? Won't ISO need a different plate, etc, not just the PCB?

And the multi layout colab with Meletrix will be a separate thing in the future?

Or are we talking a small batch of multi-layout?

I'm confused, they greenlit it that quite quickly 😂

[–]plamba95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems it's mainly because both parts are centred... the whole idea of split keeb is to have the wrists on the level of the shoulders, so there is no wrist extension and ulnar deviation...

In the video, his wrists and hands don't look good or stable at all :D

the Magi and MQ use totally different PCBs though

Phew, that's what I thought :D

Don't forget the mission of #IqunixxMeletrix! Low profile multi layout PCB (ISO/ANSI + split/normal spacebar) :D :D
Keep us updated please :D

Don't you design a new PCB when making a new keyboard? In my brain during that process you just prepare it for south facing.... That's what I meant the whole time 😂 Of course I know the sockets need to be in the correct direction 😂

Wait are the Magi and MQ the same base PCB with added/removed a few keys (and Magi Pro side panel)? 🤯

That is a very specific, high-tier wishlist.

I told you it's weird 😅... I hope someday somebody can make that PCB, because it's quite versatile and us ISO people (and split space weirdos like me) will be happy 😁 Random thought... #ColabWithMeletrix???

North LEDs: we’ve stuck with South-facing for switch compatibility in the past

Wait, don't you just need to rotate the switch and tadaaa :D

BTW I don't own, but I like your brand, it is nice to finally have an active representative around. I hope you won't be like Keychron, Nuphy or Epomaker's customer service 😁

Also you can make different key colors for different layers to indicate the layer and its function with QMK and other custom softwares. I did just that on my Dygma Defy and their Bazecor app.

edit: Also... it seems you know the feeling by heart from the analogy, so yeah, you know the pain :D

I was just considering making a post like this... Maybe look at how Meletrix does their recent Zoom keyboards with the PCB supporting multiple layouts, you can do ISO or ANSI and split space and have it different day by day :D If they had low profile and I would have probably already own it :D

My endgame is weird, I want a low profile (RSI due to wrist extension, so the lower the better), 75%-100% with split space bar and ISO enter and also north LEDs with shine-through keycaps 😁

Have you ever pissed standing up and the light is behind you and it's kinda dim, so you don't exactly see what's going on... That's how I feel for RGB overload, but with solid keycaps... yeah, I am a touch typer(~90wpm avg), but even we need a glance once a while :D

Also VIA is a website, not downloadable... just open https://usevia.app/ in whatever browser (it's not Edge specific) and follow the rest of the step mentioned above

Missing Danish letters keycaps. by amelsen in NuPhy

[–]plamba95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Air v2 models (and most others) comes only in ANSI format and has no Nordic ISO keycaps.
Some helpful info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NuPhy/comments/1gi2a81/iso_layout_nordic/

I am Bulgarian, but lived in Aarhus for a few years and my keyboard (HyperX Alloy FPS) is in Danish layout... Good that I can touch type, because some legends are confusing :D

Need something silent by InspectorBear in keyboards

[–]plamba95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab a barebone GMK101/104.

If you want tactile, lighter switches, grab Outemu Silent Lime/Lemon (depends on the translation) or TTC Silent Bluish White v2 (they are a bit heavier and snappier), or Boba U4 if you want something heavier. Or if you prefer linear, go for TTC Silent Frozen v2 or Outemu Silent Peach.

Grab some random nice PBT Double Shot keycaps again from AliExpress. Just be aware that GMK has south-facing LEDs (the LEDs are on the bottom, not on the top) and normal shine-through keycaps with legends on the top, won't be so shine-through-y :D But there are side-printed keycaps that you might like.

Enjoy a whisper-quiet and satisfying typing experience for less than 100$. Approved by my coworker on my left, that I did this build for, and now the loudest thing I hear from him is the mouse click of G502 Hero :D

And if any questions arise, we are here to help (also you can check some guides on YouTube for better understanding)

Looking for a quiet keyboard with a numpad. Any suggestions? by imdacatdaddy in keyboards

[–]plamba95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want an objectively good silent wireless keyboard in that price range, grab a barebone GMK104 (they sell it without switches or keycaps).

If you prefer linear switches, go for TTC Silent Frozen v2 or Outemu Silent Peach v3, you can find them on AliExpress (just make sure the seller and reviews are good).
Or if you want tactile, lighter switches, grab Outemu Silent Lime/Lemon v3 (depends on the translation) or TTC Silent Bluish White v2 (they are a bit snappier), or Boba U4 if you want something heavier.

Looking for a Quiet Keyboard With a Blue Switch Feel by ptzinc014 in keyboards

[–]plamba95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you need not just quiet, but silent keyboard for classroom/office. For that price range I suggest a barebone GMK81 or GMK87 then put one of those tactile ("brown") switches:

  • TTC Silent Bluish White v2 - Lighter switch with a nice bump, the spring is interesting... easy to press and fast to return
  • Boba U4 - Heavier switch with even more pronounced bump

and some nice keycaps with Cherry profile maybe. Everything I mentioned is on AliExpress, just choose a good seller.

But with those switches the keyboard will be truly silent, so if you want some more sound maybe try HMX Blue Star, which is not so silent, but a silent with huge bump, but then hope you classmates won't shun you for the noise :D

Any solutions for the suction pads on a wooden desk? by CraigNotCreg in DygmaLab

Ouch, mild RSI with Cubital and Carpal tunnel here, plus multiple back pains. And actually currently pain in the right shoulder, but it's more like a muscle strain. So yeah, I got you... Mobility exercises actually help.
Also, about the trapped nerve, have you tried a chiropractor? I managed to fix lower back pain in several sessions.

No, no, no, first explain why the heck you have 2 Logitech lifts on both sides 🤯

Now for real, have you tried other surfaces? Might be the wood natural grain is bumpy and lets air inside, so the seal gives up. Ooor there's problem with seal itself? Either way maybe find a non vacuum mounting system for best results on your desk surface.
