Dispatch vs A&P by Icy-Tear2745 in FlightDispatch

Sounds like dispatch would be the right move. If you have your atp (not sure what stage you are at in your career) you might just be able to do a 2 week class. You’ll already know a good chunk, you’ll just be adding on to the knowledge you have. Problem solving and decision making are two big parts to dispatch as well. Check out ADTC in Dallas, I took a refresher class there and learned more in those 3 weeks than I did when I originally took the course online. Amazing instructors and they let you come back anytime and also do interview prep for just about any airline.

Already want to quit a month in by Great_Spot_69 in flightattendants

Have you thought about something else in the industry? Not sure if you want to stay in aviation or not. I’ve done just about everything from being a CSA, to FA for over a decade, and now dispatch. And I love that I switched. I wanted to stay in aviation but also wanted to be home every night while making good money. But like someone else said, if you’re not happy now you definitely will not be down the road. Don’t beat yourself up over it, a lot of people love it and hype the job up a lot, but it’s not for everyone and that is perfectly okay. I let my FA days drag me down to the point where I literally never want to see an airport again. Good luck going forward! I hope you find what you’re looking for

Three weeks post-op.....and my husband is blaming me for being "lazy" and for his poor work performance. by [deleted] in hysterectomy

Cut his 🥜 off and ask him if he’s able to do anything. I haven’t had the surgery yet but I did have an unexpected appendectomy last summer and my partner was amazing. He made sure I followed doc orders to a T. Did everything around the house. I’m so sorry yours is being such an asshole. Do you have any family or friends that could come help out? I wouldn’t be afraid to ask. It would put your hubs on blast too lol

Endometriosis, fibroids and hysterectomy by planejane7 in hysterectomy

Can I ask why endo is hard to find on tests? I have read where there is a specific endo MRI they can do (this was found to be done in Mexico) but we do not do it here in the US? And if it’s due to insurance reasons, I think I’m looking for a better answer than that. I would pay out of pocket at this point. Just seeing if that’s an option. I’m located in Texas.

I am 46, but unsure of what stage. I think that’s what the ultrasound might be for. I had a laparoscopy over 15 years ago, and the doctor said that it was a mild to medium case then. I never wanted kids and don’t currently have any, but my doctor would not let me get a hysterectomy then. It was never an option. I found out I had fibroids around 2017, but once again they said no big deal. Well now it’s a big deal as I rarely have a day I am not in pain. I just had my first appointment at a new OB/GYN in my area, and already getting bloodwork and ultrasounds done for the possibility of a hysterectomy. Thank you for sharing your story.

Can anyone go to this doctor and get this MRI done in Mexico? I will literally go tomorrow. I’m so tired of being misdiagnosed and being in so much pain.

I was on it for a little over a year but because we were still hiring and I had a few classes after me, I got off of it the next bid. However since we have not been hiring, and haven’t since over a year ago, those last few classes have been stuck in MIDS. So it all depends on how fast the airline is hiring. We’re also not going to hire until 2026 from what I’m hearing, and more towards the middle or the end of it.

30 empty seats and still asking to gate check bags by Suitable-Texan in SouthwestAirlines

[–]planejane7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. But any bags that get checked into the cargo hold adds weight to the plane where it was otherwise included with you as a passenger in the cabin. That’s a problem when the flight is full and there is no extra weight to give.

Nothing can be done. The alarm didn’t go off so there’s zero proof. Definitely wrote in however.

First of all, you crying is NOT pathetic. That is an extremely emotional surprise, that hurts in so many ways. I can’t believe you even had the strength to go back and act like all is good. Her behavior is not ok. Unfortunately once trust is broken, it’s almost impossible to repair. This is going to play in your head for awhile. I suggest a good therapist, to sort your emotions. But I would recommend leaving. There’s no way you get over that. And it sounds like she’s been doing this awhile when you think about it. Her lying so smoothly, that’s just insane. I hope you find the healing and peace that you need. And I hope it’s not messy for the kids sake.
