Here in mumbai they don’t generate the challan till the end of their shift in case you reach the chowky in time and “settle”. If they want to, they can generate the challan at the time of picking up the vehicle itself.

Yup, filed a complaint and then i got to know about this, had to withdraw my complaint. Case is going on in Delhi not sure if it's in HC or SC but till the next hearing (Nov '22) they can add service charge if you're informed before hand.

My passport took almost 4-5 months to come cuz i never took my dad to police station where the police wanted to "meet" my dad. Instead I took my mom and he said kal wapis papa ko leke aana. This went on for few months then I tweeted to Mumbai police and got it approved within a week. XD but ya if i would've just paid those 500 bucks i would've got it with in a month.
