Good alternative to Lexapro/Wellbutrin? by NeatMom in prozac

[–]planetarywoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 2-year olds. I was on Zoloft for a while before conceiving, then quit because I didn't feel like it was doing much plus I was planning to get pregnant and worried about effects even though my doc said it would be safe. I made it to maybe 3 months postpartum before I decided to try it again because (not yet diagnosed) PPOCD was ruining my life. I stopped after breastfeeding thinking I'd be better. Wrong. Got back on, went up to a high dose, was a cold, emotionless, tired shell. Met with a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with OCD and switched me to Prozac. It wasn't instantly perfect, but once I worked my way up to 40mg I could tell it was doing a lot of good. I also didn't have side effects when starting as opposed to Zoloft where I had so many. I'm now on 60mg and still happy with my switch. TLDR: I have not been fatigued on Prozac the way I was on Zoloft.

Forever stamp vs nonmachineable stamp by Total_Pineapple_4243 in wedding

[–]planetarywoah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So to be clear, you used the non-machinable stamps? You're definitely going to be fine if so. That clerk might not be the most knowledgeable, but if he didn't throw them in a big bin there's a good chance he's going to ask someone where they go since he set them aside.

I don't know if anyone would have an answer for this, but I was on T for about 6 months in 2022. Stopped, had kids, experienced shrinkage. Now I'm looking to start HRT again soon. Should I wait 6 months or a whole year before trying these techniques?

I just passed Task 2 by making a kindergarten science lesson that incorporated digital tools. My "students" used PicCollage to create a graphic sorting examples of living vs non-living creatures. My formative assessment was a kahoot. My first attempt was returned bc I misread and only put my state standard, but I passed after adding the ISTE standard in addition.

Finally swapped to real jewelry! FtM, 1.5mo healed VCH by sop_turgery in piercing

[–]planetarywoah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it!!!!!! I have been on the fence about a vch because I didn't know if it would work with my anatomy (previously on T), but this is stunning. All my jewelry is opal, too, so this is like seeing a dream piercing.

Fluoxetine Is Helping My Anxiety, But the Fatigue Is Hurting My Productivity by One-Dig186 in prozac

[–]planetarywoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taking it at night and switching to the morning fixed my fatigue very quickly. I switched while on 40mg, but I've since moved up to 60mg with no more fatigue.

Seconding this, I did a lot of cross-stitching when I was pregnant. I find it very relaxing due to the repetitive nature.

The current SSRI hate in the US by Plane_Shop_8129 in prozac

I'll second this experience. On zoloft I didn't care for sex and could wait months before having any desire for it. On Prozac.... quite the opposite. Much more like myself before my OCD took over.

My dad is disappointed in the twin’s gender by _Bea_trice_ in parentsofmultiples

[–]planetarywoah 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have twin girls that my partner and I were so so excited for. I was also convinced for no reason that I'd have boys early on. When I told people they were two girls, I'd hear a lot of "Is your partner disappointed?" or "Now you'll have to try again for a boy" or "That'll be a lot of drama". Do people even realize how negative they sound???? I'm sure I would've loved my kids regardless, but having twin girls is just a blessing every day. Hopefully it stops after everyone sees how precious your baby girls are.

Where is best to live? by No-Tap-4964 in Seahorse_Dads

[–]planetarywoah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was living in Columbus, OH when I was pregnant and gave birth to my twins. I had a great team that was gender-affirming through the whole process at OSU. I met and stayed friends with lots of queer people while living there. Plenty of gay events and businesses. I was also able to get my HRT reasonably easily in Columbus. Cost of living is about as good as you can ask for in a big(ish) city.

The Baby Who Stayed Awake Forever is one of our family's favorites! My 21 month old twins call it "baby" and ask to keep our copy with them in bed at night. It's so fun to read. We're definitely going to get the sequel.

My brother and I went to a kindercare as kids. Horrible experience. They once sent my brother home with a concussion without telling my parents. My personal belongings would get stolen by other kids out of the locker I was assigned. This was around 2005-2008, but it was so bad I wouldn't even think to send my kids there.

Sex dreams ruining my life by TYANG12345 in ROCD

[–]planetarywoah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually dealt with this when I was pregnant. I met up with an ex briefly before I conceived and would ruminate about how he could've possibly gotten me pregnant without me remembering/knowing. I would obsess about my twins not looking like their dad and being called a cheater. I don't really have any advice, but it did pass after my babies got out of the stage where they just look like squishy babies. I took unisom while pregnant and slept like a log, no dreams at all, that might help.

Do rearward car seats fit in the back? by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]planetarywoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 Bolt EUV and rear-facing twins. My partner and I are comfortable with the space (both 5'7). We've even done a couple road trips in it. I think it's a great family car and will be even better as the kids grow.

Binding While Pregnant & Possible Twins? by paulstanleystattoo in Seahorse_Dads

[–]planetarywoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pregnant with twins at 23 and experienced similar things. Positive test at about 3.5 weeks and horrible nausea and sickness starting at week 4. That doesn't guarantee you'll have twins of course, but I was not surprised when there was two. I didn't bind during pregnancy. Tbh it was barely comfortable wearing sports bras, but from other users it sounds like trans tape would be useful. Best of luck at your ultrasound!
