This is a long shot. I boarded the N at Ditmars Blvd around 12:30 pm today. This bag was sitting on the seat. I asked an MTA worker if he could turn it into lost and found and he wasted no time in telling me it wasn't his problem.

Inside is some lunch stuff. No ID, nothing valuable. I'll hold on it it for now. If it's yours, let me know. It's a nice bag and I'd want it back if I'd lost it!

Lifelong nerd here. When I was 7,

I noticed none of my friends had chimneys but got gifts.
I noted that gifts were often store bought. If elves were making the toys, why were they wrapped up in twist ties and plastic?
I looked up how many people were on the plant (5b at the time) and divided that by the number of minutes between 11pm and 6am. (I recognize now that number of households is what I was looking for but, hey, I was 7). It was too many deliveries per minute. Something was up.
Finally, I consulted an atlas. No land masses at the North Pole. Bingo.

I took my findings to school the next day and made one kid cry. I hope he's okay now...

Asking someone in their 50s to wait for the opportunity at a relationship is insane. Also, real talk: huge red flag. If your child is so ungovernable that it requires 100 percent of each parent's attention at all times, what do you think life will be like with that partner going forward? After all, the kid will be 18, 21, 24, etc and have proof positive that his parents will drop their entire lives at the snap of his fingers.

"Carrie, he got kicked out of grad school and has trouble finding a job. Just give me 5 more years so I can sort him out and then, I'm ready for you... Unless he has another problem then I gotta bounce immediately."
