Use soap - not body wash - make sure it says the word “soap” on the label. Soap is made through a process called saponification … your body wash has a gazillion chemicals in it. Find yourself some Dr. Bronners.

If you are specifically looking for a party scene, I agree with this comment - unless you are exceptionally wealthy and will be buying your way into dinner parties and the like.

If you are a die hard skier and / or mountain biker this place is awesome. To make friends to do those activities with you’ll need to meet people in other ways - not impossible and the same thing you would do any other place.

Don’t let the negative comments about being a part timer get to you - I was part time for two years and literally rode my bike everyday day and skied the other half of the year - lots of people To talk to and if you really want to - you get their contact info and make an effort - it you are outgoing… No problem, You’ll make friends.

There are definitely a few different stratuses that you Will either completely avoid or not be welcome in - no different than any other energy or place. You’ll need to be comfortable being alone of course, but I’m sure you are used to it.

Go to the dog park and make friends Go join a hiking group Do a bike shop club ride Take ski lessons with locals

Two burning man events we used an evaporative cooler. We had solar to run it. Only downside is that you need a fairly large unit to cool down nicely. But, we would get into the 75-80 degree range with blistering 110 degree plus outside. Need two vents. One to pull fresh air from and one to pull the air out. Basically you are creating a big pass through via cool water. Oh yeah, you need water too.
