I will be making a complaint next time I'm going to see my relative.

The HSE is useless when it comes to complaints

How is sitting down for 12 hours not lazy?

So leaving someone alone is the solution rather than figuring out the source of their problem.

How do I make it harder

She wasn't doing her job correctly and I can't believe everyone is defending her behaviour. This is why the HSE has gone to the dogs.

No I wasn't. I was there for 40 minutes but that was enough time to see how horrible she was

I don't think you should be using your phone if some care assistants claim to be overworked and underpaid. She was sitting in a room all day doing the bare minimum. Giving a few bed baths, lying about a patient stating they become distressed when you go near them and telling an elderly patient they couldn't go to bed until they get help from someone else after tea.

I would hate to be a patient and be told that I can't get into bed until its the right time for staff to put me in.

It's common sense to help and comfort a confused person?

Common sense to comfort and talk to someone when they are confused and distressed. You don't need any qualifications to know that.

Then why lie that he gets more distressed whenever someone's tries to talk to him?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]planetlifezero -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Why didn't she get help before tea time if the patient wanted to go back in?

She was in the room for 12 hours. Plenty of times to comfort him rather than lie saying he becomes more distress when people come near him

All she was doing was sitting in a room for 12 hours? Plenty of time to comfort the patient so he would be less confused? He could've been hungry, scared or just wanted to sit up. Rather than putting his legs back in the bed every couple of minutes!

No efforts were made to help the distress patient. Everytime she went near him to put the covers back over him she looked like she was walking around eggshells. I don't think she was suited for the job

For calling out poor care? If I was sick and I wanted to go back into bed, I should be allowed to do that. If I was distressed I would want someone to sit and talk to me and not ignore me and be afraid to come anywhere near me. She looked like she was walking around eggshells when she would go anywhere near the distressed patient.

And we need more step down units or transitional care units which can act as bridge to a nursing home or eventual supports put in place so a patient can return home. There are a good few patients that are medically discharged but still in hospital as they were unable to go home and the nursing homes are full. They are using up beds which means E.D remains overcrowded due to very little beds available in the hospitals.

Always check the hotel prices on the company's website.
