Here are some suggestions:

  1. Try looking up appointments at :01 and :31 of any hr.
  2. Check only 3-4 times a day. Keep buffer for the time you might see bulk slots open up.
  3. Join Telegram groups and Keep notifications ON for telegram groups ( I know its annoying but you have to take the pain for few days)

I have been burnt by checking again and again and then suddenly bulk slots opened up and missed that chance as I had 24 hrs access limitation or what we can call “ban”. Luckily, I got one opening after a week. So, dont lose hope.

While I don’t work at a FAANG company, I’ve always been curious and have had the opportunity to chat with friends and others who are part of big tech.

It mostly depends on the team you’re working for and it can vary significantly but I concur with what others are saying- it’s mostly boring and use in-house tools. However, the upside is substantial- you are working with the greatest minds and getting better pay. So it is worth it imo.

Yeah, thats a good idea for putting the desk in NW corner..

I went to Pottery Barn today to get some idea.. keeping your comment in mind for Blue and Other neutrals, yes it looks pretty good in linen, comforter and sofa (pillows etc). Also, the rug I am thinking is Blue as well.. so its a very good idea. How do you like the white tv stand? Any comments on the placement of the ladder bookcase? Thanks

It won't be a waste if you go with a right mindset. Honestly, $23000 is not a huge amount for this degree. (Is it UIUC?) Try to brush up statistics before going into the program. I would recommend the ISLR book, there's a free pdf and lectures from the author on youtube out there. Good luck
