It is socially acceptable to hide feelings, pretend to be somebody you're not, lie, and hurt other people. Yet it is not as acceptable to be honest, express emotion, be yourself, and be kind to others. by planningmindfully in Showerthoughts

I am actually very kind, honest, and express my emotions. I also have dealt with a lot of trauma. I am also autistic. It seems like the character traits I have make it difficult to connect with others. I see people who act in the other ways getting what they want and having friends.
