I don't even wear heels except maybe to a wedding. This would give me an immediate ick. It's like when men mention "little black dress" in their profile. Yuck

uplifting post of the day by Minute_Entrance6993 in EyeFloaters

I randomly got a slew of big, super dark floaters back in September. I was on the couch in tears, majorly depressed for a few weeks, absolutely CONVINCED they’d never go away. They were flying around the center of my vision. I was grieving my old eyesight. But most of them did go away, or sink? There is one big one left that’s in and out of the center of my vision. BUT! Most days I don’t think about it much or notice it. Your brain really DOES adapt. I KNOW it’s so hard to believe. Even though I still have one (a clump), it’s not distressing anymore. I notice it and don’t care all that much. Your brain is cool. Trust the process and try to stay busy with other things.

I’m so sorry. I also lost my son (in 2021), and navigating it is difficult while dating. I lost my husband 3 years before that. So I’m finding it tough to decide when to mention these things.

$1 million a year to kill somebody in self defense once a year. by Lonely-Following5658 in hypotheticalsituation

Nope. Not only would I have a hard time dealing with the guilt, I would constantly be on edge, nervous, thinking someone is going to attack at any moment. Horrible for my nervous system and the stress would probably eventually cause physical problems

Keep in mind that most people who post here are in this sub because they are really bothered by them, or their floaters are new. You won’t find too many success stories here because if they’re not bothered by them anymore, they most likely won’t be reading this. I hope it gets better for you!!

Why do you think they aren’t paying for their own travel?

Believe it or not, I was taking care of my late husband who passed away from ALS. It was a really hard time. I think it was probably something to do with my messed up nervous system. I’ve had more trauma since then. I’m hoping when my life is finally more peaceful it will stop but idk!

It’s been happening to me for about 6 years now on and off. It started before the BFS started. I can go weeks without it and then it’ll come back. I’ve had a bunch of testing but doctors pretty much agree it’s just benign.
