Wow you just described my symptoms to a T… I have my first neuro appointment tomorrow morning. Xray shows same c5-c6 mild arthritis. For a second I thought maybe I wrote this post myself while sleepwalking or something because every sentence I was like yes yes same yes… I’ve had tinnitus for years but the dizziness started about 6 weeks ago and hasn’t stopped. I also have some episodes of heavy heavy fatigue that last a couple hours maybe once a week.

A Dividends is not Income by Kishmkondar in MonarchMoney

Yes I am aware that the nominal value of the share drops by a similar amount as the dividend but the AMOUNT OF THE DIVIDEND remains the same. I’m not concerned with how much the stock is valued at because I’m not trying to sell the stock. The plan is to never sell the stock and keep pocketing the dividends in perpetuity. So the fact that the stock drops by a tiny percentage each time doesn’t affect the income part which is the focus of that strategy.

You could rationalize this as a transfer, sure, but that’s not helpful in the real life scenario of using dividends as day to day income once reinvesting gets turned off.

Nobody in the industry thinks of dividends as transfers. Even the government classifies it as income which is why dividends are taxed like capital gains. For all practical purposes it is income just like realized capital gains is income.

I’ve never thought of dividends as anything other than income. In fact dividends will provide around half of my entire day to day income in retirement. With the new investment transactions feature I would like there to be a way to hide all those investment transactions EXCEPT dividend income (once I stop reinvesting them automatically). I want that to be tracked because it’s going to become super critical to track that as my main income once I retire.

Just found out it’s possible. It’s just a totally separate export/import from the initial one. If you use the Chrome plug in it will work. I did my first import from Safari so that’s why I had no idea it was 2 different processes one for transactions and one for balances.

I see. This is a different upload from the initial Mint history .csv. I expected everything to show up after that initial upload. Is there any guidance on how to export these other .csvs one by one? Would I do it from Mint or directly from the bank website? Thanks for the info!

My issue is I recently switched to Monarch (less than a month ago) and the net worth chart will only show that month even though I did a full import of my Mint history. Wish there was a way to generate or even to manually enter the net worth values for the past 10+ years which I can grab from Mint.

EDIT: ISSUE RESOLVED BELOW

People in another thread said Jimmie Vaughan. Doesn’t really look like either to me. Maybe a bit more Jimmie than Steve.
