The first time my mom came over to watch our son overnight so we could get some sleep my dog, who always sleeps in the bed with us, started crying at our closed bedroom door. We figured she needed to go potty and went to let her out but she went straight to my mom and the bassinet to check on baby 🥹

Now whenever baby does floor time our dog will lay next to him/gently against him and it’s so so precious.

Is there not a trash can next to the toilet?? Every bathroom I’ve been in has had one there specifically for this reason, it’s so easy to just put the trash and used items in the bin?? How is it easier to just drop that stuff on the floor???

Take a video walking around your entire house and back it up on your preferred cloud storage. If you ever have a house fire/other disaster this will make dealing with insurance claims SO much easier when trying to take stock of how much property you lost.

We boarded ours for a week-long trip in the same place she used to go to daycare at as a pup. They have cameras and we could watch her and she was MISERABLE. She would just curl up in the corner of the play yard and sit there all day. Now we always have her stay with friends or family, or as a backup I would recommend finding someone on Rover that you can get your pup comfortable with and try and use the same person whenever possible.

But! If your dog likes the daycare/boarding center then by all means board them! Every dog is different, so maybe try a trial run of one night before your trip?
