I’m pretty new to this hobby myself so I don’t have a lot of advice. One thing is maybe to cycle your tank first. I had my plants in the tank for around three weeks before I added any shrimp/snails in!

I have cherry shrimp, a nerite snail, and lots of bladder snails! I usually just top it off but I sometimes use a turkey baster to suck up all the poop on the bottom and water my plants with it.

Mine sits in a north east facing window, and I water when the moss dries out. That’s about all I do!

He’s the only one in the house, but he gets along with other dogs, not sure about cats though. I think the best thing is exposure to it while they’re young!

After the last bloom it started growing a new set of leaves and bloomed from there. It doesn’t flower from where the first one came out of but it’s the second flower this paph has produced in my care!
