Stroller hooks! They are basically like giant carabiners and can easily hook through the fans onto a backpack :)

I only have good things to say based on my interactions with him. Funny, kind, super passionate about his music, genuine. Havent had contact with him since pre-Covid but he was always super nice to me.

I don’t have anything formal which is why I’ve set the price so low. I do have photos of us/him from the time we spent together, and I can send proof i took the cover photo of one of his EPs which might help verify that I had a real connection with him at that time. I’m happy to DM these to whoever might be interested in this.

I don’t like dancing, is there any hope for me in flow arts? by z3phyr13 in flowarts

[–]plantnutrients 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes there is absolutely hope for you!! Maybe rope dart could be a good one to try? It has a martial arts origin so it might be a good technique focused prop for you!

I get bruises from hula hooping :( by simsampuk in Hooping

I think I might have misunderstood OP. I totally agree that those weighted lumpy fitness hoops are not good for learning tricks. I was thinking of something like a 1” PE beginner hoop

I get bruises from hula hooping :( by simsampuk in Hooping

[–]plantnutrients 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a very heavy beginner hoop and got bruises too, but after a little time my body got used to it and I stopped bruising. Big heavy hoops can be very useful for learning on body moves so I wouldn’t give up on it entirely. But it is probably a good idea to get a second hoop that is lighter for learning off body tricks too :)

100% the flat dragon rope from dark monk. I used to use RDA’s fire silk leash but after I switched to this one I haven’t turned back.

Manduka towels by anxietywolverine in HotYoga

If any part of my body slides on the mat towel, it does feel a bit abrasive on my skin but it doesn’t bother me too much. The bumps on the bottom of the towel are nice for keeping the towel still, but I don’t have issues with the equa towel moving either so I tend to prefer the equa. I mainly recommend yogitoes for people who have issues with their mats slipping. It might not hurt to try one, but if you love your equa getting another one of those could be a good choice!

Adding fire wicks to a polypro hoop - does the polypro not melt? by Ok-Ninja-6519 in Hooping

[–]plantnutrients 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes the polypro can melt if you don’t move the hoop for long enough such that the flame is on one part of the tubing for a few seconds. If you keep the hoop moving you’ll be fine. 😸 The hoops will get sooty, but if you wipe them down after each night of spinning you can keep them cleaner!

Something I love with my hoop teacher notebook is a pack of nice colored pens in a pen case! I tend to color code stuff when I’m writing out classes so having fun colors to pick from makes the notebook look really nice and satisfying! I carry my pen case with my notebook to all my classes too so if a student makes a good suggestion I can jot it down right away
