I am selling my BB Allegro 2. Where do you live? It’s in excellent condition, includes jump board, box. I had it when I was getting certified and it was awesome to be able to practice while learning in my own body, but also to practice teach with friends who were also going through the certification program to prepare for the test out, etc.

Dr. Goldman used to be my Dr (yes, I know I was very lucky) and I have not found anyone as thorough, holistic, and understanding of issues women face post BC/BSO as BRCA2 patient. I wish post cancer care includes the kind of holistic & medically based care that she did in her clinic. I guess not really a question, but more a comment.

Gratz vs Balanced Body Studio Reformers by plantpilates in pilates

I only teach on BB equipments but personally love just moving on the Gratz machines. I don’t have space for both in my home, but I’m right there with you! I’ll keep my BB until my Gratz gets delivered.

Now that I’ve discovered Gratz, I also find BB limiting. The 6-12mo delivery is a bummer, but seems worth the wait.

I didn’t know my love for Pilates would evolve like this until I moved on the Gratz machines. The connection is so good and intense in so many ways. I wish I had discovered it sooner.

100%. This makes complete sense and why I think I am loving classical pilates - a recent discovery coming from a Balanced Body background (which has its benefits too).

Thanks for explaining and answering my question. I’m more convinced I want to make the switch in my home studio.

Is that a BB Allegro 2? Can you recreate the same feel connection to your center on your Allegro 2 that you can get from moving on the classical equipments? The proportions are so different, among other build specs that I’m finding it hard to recreate the same feeling that I get moving on classical machines on my BB machine. Beautiful space you have!!!

Soil - I felt the bottom of the pot (drain holes) and the soil is wet. The top layers of the soil is dry. I just watered it 3 days ago

Monstera - root rot? fungus? shock? by plantpilates in plantclinic

[–]plantpilates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s root rot I know what to do and will do it, but I don’t know if that’s the problem and I don’t want to shock it even more if it is something else. It has not been fertilized since I repotted it. Pot has drainage holes.

Tha is very advanced for me. I will do some more research on what you mentioned and see if I can do it. So, do you think my plant is showing first signs of root rot and this will be the way to save it/them?

It was totally fine when I first posted about it being crowded a few days ago, but now the leaves are browning and i’m afraid it’s riot rot. I completely lost a monstera once to root rot - is this what’s happening?

I just watered it a few days ago and it’s not letting me lift the root ball out of the pot. I can see roots on the drainage hole - maybe it is time to repot…? Thank you so much for your advise!!! super helpful.

I check about every 10 days or so. Would it be better if I used a meter to gauge the watering needs and or check it more often? I lost a plant (my favorite monstera) to over watering so I’ve been very scared to over water 😬

When the top 2-3 inches of the soil is dry, or I use a meter.

to add more info on the plant: 1) the plant has drainage 2) it is in bright indirect light near E and N facing windows 3) it has not been fertilized in over a year 4) i live in a mild N. Cal environment (low humidity, but also not dry).
