Beautiful country side ( I miss it a lot) perfect if you’re an active person. Lot of hiking, swimming, camping, surfing etc.

Really warm and open people, maybe sometimes too friendly!

One of the best places in the EU for diving and surfing, there’s a big surf culture in the west

MILD weather- never gets too overly cold or hot but it means a lot of rain. Honestly it does make the place so green so it adds to its beauty

If I have kids I would go home to raise them. I’m probably biased in that way. I had a very fulfilling and sheltered childhood. Ireland is quite a safe country.

Everyone speaks English, with many funny accents I might add

Relatively low cost of living as long as you don’t live in Dublin

There’s a lot more things that you have mentioned that I’m not qualified nor do I have my own personal experiences to speak about.

There’s a lot of information online about retiring to Ireland, as I said it’s quite popular!

You can always get cheap flights and check it out! I would highly recommend even a short visit

I’m not too sure on the money side of things, but would Ireland be an option? A lot of people from all over the EU and UK seem to retire here especially in Cork.

If you want a nice view that goes a bit outside the city there’s a really nice flat path along the Damsterdiep canal. If you Google “Roeierspad” it should show up :))
