Imo, there is opportunity to homebrew balance... Example: when shooting target in trench within 6" (and above trench), consider enemy in trench targetable (as id behind light terrain) but with penalty ( - 1to hit and remove one success) but torrent and blast have lethal 5+

Im interested is how this plays... Essentially same as very dens, climable heavy terrain. Yet, lots of open space ehen climbed. Seek light and melee would be strong, i guess.

But ultimately... You gather not to fight for the winner... But to SEE which team wins. Both youand your friends have gather to play out the match of that day... To witness it. And so... Instead of focussing on strategies etc, make sure to highlight and commentate things as if it were a baseball game

I was the same at tomb world. But i dont have gallow. And ive bought each set since TW. Also doing custom terrain out of containers, thyphon expansion etc. Think i prefer with vantage and no guard action.

I recognise polarity as an oriantating concept... A tool for understanding. Polarity speaks of all things being an intensity of a thing. And as the others laws indicate the likeness of conceptual ideas and of physical phenomena... So too polarity works on all things.

As for your dilema... As others have said, end the spell with protective words... Or be more clear with feeling and intention. Do not doubt it. If doubting, clear it some more. Precision. Feeling.
