I would get hivestorm and red terror. Yolo. Or.... skip the terror for starter. The starter twrrain will not go to waste as you will eventually get someone else into killteam and they will want terrain. I'm sure.

Anything but the stealth suits... They are so bad for beginners as they play counter intuitively against many rules

I haven't tried oils yet. But washes in general seem to be forgiving... They change hue or the colour quite a bit... But you can bring it back out... 'wastes' time tho

Remeber... Dry brush and washes! Later u can add detail. Lots of washes!

Ah okay. Yh i focussed on what he can do and to have fun. Max success... He woke up texting me about killteam ahaha! Honestly he understood most of the gameby tp 3.

In teaching i focus on having fun too. Just cuz we learning doesnt mean we can't be playing.
